September 1995 I believe, so (just) pre-summer era.

That said, the injury to Rocky Hampshire has put a different complexion on Fev's prospects for the rest of the season, as the key to our improvement has been having our half back pair fit - they have been by some way the clear strong point of the team.

'95 in a league game but they won at Fev in Feb 2011 in the Northern Rail Cup.

York win 16-8 in Toulouse. Should now finish top of the table going in to the play-offs. Toulouse now under pressure to finish 2nd, as they have yet to play Bradford away (who I presume are currently stuffing Sheffield)

Christ that's embarrassing for Eagles. Still a decent team on paper. Something is VERY wrong at that club. Strong rumors that Mark isn't the last Aston to leave.

Just got back from Sheffield. One way traffic as a game, we looked a yard faster than Sheffield all over the park. 

It was my first visit to OLP, I don’t think I’ve ever been able to park so close to a ground half an hour before kick-off. About 50 metres away. Tidy little ground but honestly doesn’t feel fit for Championship RL. Maybe if they put a terrace behind one end it would be better. And they need more bars/food outlets!

Enjoyable trip north though for a live RL fix. Crowd announced as 1,344 but more likely to have been 1,345 as my daughter decided to squeeze in the same turnstile rotation so not sure it would have counted her. Although we had bought the ticket

The Eagles seem to have been at war with their landlords since they moved in, making even having an electronic scoreboard difficult. As I understand they've had to stop doing the bar and food they were doing for similar reasons.

The Eagles were looking to build a new ground with Sheffield FC as they don't see a future at OLP, but not sure what is going on with that tbh.

Interestingly I couldn’t see a scoreboard anywhere so had to keep track of the score online!
