It’s been a very strange week this week after the loss to Widnes. The club seems to be very quite at the minute not even advertised the game against Sheffield and very quite on the rumours that was being talked about on the terrace last weekend.
onto Sheffield they have lost 9/9 and got thrashed by Bradford 70-8, but Sheffield have already learnt 2 points against at the start of the Season and if there is one coach that can pull a performance against you it lingard. Sheffield have a few old featherstone face in the squad and will be wanting to put a good performance in.

finally the 21 man squad will be out tomorrow and probably no changes in that but there maybe be changes to the 17 with jimmy back in the mix

Think we missed Beckett in the second half at Donny and against Widnes last week.At least Paul won't have to start with King V and Springer at Sheffield. We should pick up 2 points and improve points difference but the players will have to be on it not like last week.Anyone paying on the day Adults standing £21 so if paying cash have the odd pound ready.Concessions £15 and under 16's £6 so again try to have the odd pound ready it helps to keep people moving.I think our travelling support should outnumber the home supporters like at Donny.Home game for me 10 min from our house.

The stadium is supposed to be card only, not sure that people would be turned away if they have cash but don’t quote me on that. You certainly won’t be able to buy beer etc with cash.

There is also a new cafe/bar at the bottom of the steps as you come from the car park/Canon arena end. Or from the stand it’s at the bottom right as you look at the pitch.

Always been able to pay entry with cash as i don't have a smart phone.Usually just one of the entrance points does it.Agree about buying inside, That is not Eagles revenue one of the reasons they are keen to move.

Sheffield Eagles v Fev: 21 man squads

fevnut has now published ‘Sheffield Eagles v Fev: 21 man squads’.

We find it quite difficult to see the potential shape of the teams in the form in which the clubs publish the squads, so we choose to use guesswork based on last week’s teams to set them out in the traditional manner running from fullback to loose forward and then subs.

We also include a chart showing the leading scorers for both teams.

Paul Cooke was in the box at Donny v Barrow on Sunday, so essentially just behind my seat. He was on the phone to someone before the game and all I heard was "If we lose to Sheffield they'll be in and training every day next week"

That sounds like Cookey, he has quite publicly stated on at least one occasion in a pre-game interview that if they lost a game on a Saturday (think it was at Hunslet) he'd have them back in training on Sunday morning.

Then again he's also given them a week off when we have twice had blank weeks, personally I'm fine with all that.

No Springer or Jubb today. Looks like an 80-minute stint for Jones although he is ultra-fit and that surface ought to play to his strengths.

No Josh or Wynne either but Stevens gets a chance off the bench.Interesting to see how we go with two more mobile and energetic props in Wilde and Beckett.would   like to see a bit more from Turner than last week but i think it was one of those games like against Hunslet at home.Hoping for a win by 30+  points but after Salford taming Warrington Friday night owt can happen.

Well that was flat and boring,Reynolds red card by look of it. Going struggle even more now.

Very poor first half we let Eagles gain far too many metres with the ball.Reynolds dropped a perfect pass inside the 20 and should have been under the post.Better in second half we moved up on them and tackled harder.Turner was having a good second half when he picked up an injury to his knee.I was near our bench and he was explaining that he hurt the outside of his left knee.Could be a strained ligament ,let's hope for the best.Missed Reynolds red card and Eagles last try as i like to get away before the traffic.Although Oldham have scraped a 1 point win against Donny we will have to play much better next week.

Yellow card for kicking ball away then red for gobbling off if iam not mistaken, sure someone will know and let us know.

Reynolds has probably put to bed any lingering playoff chances for us. Can't see us doing Oldham or Bradford with no halves. Dumb.

Won't Reynolds be able to play against Oldham.I thought suspensions kicked in the week after. And i had given the Bradford game up without Hampshire.

Oldham have continued to strengthen their squad - so it will be incredibly tough to beat them. Dread to think what Bradford, and Oldham are spending on wages.

A poster on the main forum thinks Oldham have a 1 in 8 chance of winning at Fev.If Turner can play i think it is a 50/50 game but we will have to perform better than Sunday.Noticed Beckett and Addy had a fair bit of time on the bench so should be involved more.Does Springer come back in ?.Jubb will certainly help it has worked very well this season sharing the hooking role.If we can't get 2500 plus for this one the club really is in trouble.

Oldham are favourites for this game, it would be daft to say otherwise take a look at there recent signings. Good luck to them and I hope for there sakes their money men hang around.

Given Springer's past troubles with leg injuries I'd have thought there was a good chance he wasn't picked because of Sheffield's artificial pitch.

On the subject of attendance for the Oldham game
