With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I’d just like to say, Bedford R, that you do an amazing job updating us regularly, consistently and speedily with all this club information. It’s much appreciated. Thanks.

Too kind, but thank you.

Come Sunday, the last time Oldham beat Featherstone at POR was exactly 22 years ago,  Oldham victorious by 19 points to 14.  It's a long time between drinks!

There are approximately 62,000 people living in Oldham today who werent born when that happened.

Not quite as impressive as Rochdale Hornets record at Saints…their last win there.shocked everyone, including the sitting prime minister, Clem Atlee.

Think we'll go with the same 17 as last week which might be the first time this year we can name the same team back to back. Really hope we can improve our attack as our defence is excellent and has been for the majority of the season. I feel like we play to set up an attack slightly too much rather than going shot for shot which the best teams do. Smith was excellent last week and hopefully if we can involve Brierley more out the back we can show what we can do.

Fev's style of play has really troubled us in both games and I reckon they were the best team we've played against in attack although without Hampshire we'll see how they get in. Reynolds as always will be one to watch as will Aekins at full back.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's as close as that. We (Fev) have been really poor in the last 2 games since losing Hampshire, the strength of our team during the good mid-season run has been having two good halves and when teams know they can focus on just one side it makes us much less threatening. There are likely to be one or two enforced positional changes for Fev and I can see this fixture being the reverse of the 1895 semi, when Oldham were struggling with injuries whereas Fev were approaching full strength.

I think Reynolds was sent off last week, right at the end of the match. Will he be playing on Sunday? He murdered us in the 1895 semi.

Yeah his ban kicks in the week after. Will miss the Bradford game and the play-offs, if we reach them.

Hope you're right. I think when both teams are at their best, there's not much to choose. Home advantage might be the deciding factor in that scenario.

Yes I'd agree with that. I think the difference is that when injuries come along we don't have anything like the depth or resources that you do. We haven't made any significant signings in the 2nd half of the season compared with the six or seven Oldham have added in the last 2 or 3 months, and as a result our team on Sunday will have some players playing out of poisition.

Not really bothered. All matches difficult in their own way.

Hit form - we can beat anybody.

Bang rate mate, its hitting form for 80 minutes on the day in question, you can have a big a squad as you want, but you can have only 13 on the field.

Don't mind a few changes today , resting a few and having a look at a couple of different combinations well still keeping a strong team

Sensible player management this, give our star man Drinkwater a two week break and give others a chance whilst still keeping a really strong team. We all want to win every game but today's match is a dead rubber for Oldham so may as well make use of it to look at the bigger picture ie play offs.

Cant be there today but COME ON OLDHAM!!!!!!

14-6 to Fev at HT. Fev on top throughout, down the hill and aided (as ever) by Oldham knock ons and concentration lapses. Strong character by us to be only 8 down. Need a good second half to show grit and resilience and not sow seeds of doubt for going into the playoffs.

Worst performance of the season. Somehow managed to trump the barrow game!

honestly can’t find any positives to take away from that. With  no game next week surely we could’ve taken this opportunity to put some moves on or learn a thing or two?

Fev ran harder, tackled better and had a game plan. Oldham were dreadful and now go into the playoffs following a performance like that - god help us !

We are going to have to show an aggressive mentality during the playoffs.   Am I being greedy after a quarter of a century of being on a life support machine or do I follow the instinct of the ownership team and expect much more?

Our budget exceeds most of the teams in the Championship,  yet we play a structured type of rugby without the blood and thunder needed at times.

Come on lads, step up a gear when it matters.
