The ‘main’ knights Army behind the sticks invited the second Knights army ‘in the east stand corner’ to give us a song. The response was awesome as they responded in fine style with ‘the Knights are having a party’.

Beer and York Knights. Proof the God loves us and wants us to be happy. 🍺🏉

471 is decent and appreciated comments by those in the screenshot.

How many do Super League veterans Huddersfield take away to an hour and 10 minute away trip?
Those that go to the Knights - know we need to grow the fan base, but I also think that if we do get into the SL - the fan base will grow; maybe I’m an optimist.
I do wonder how many we took to Doncaster and lose in the first game of last season. Would be an interesting comparison.

Think we may get a few coming in from other teams if we did go up. @fevrover seems like a cracking person who may appear at the LNER, the way I’ll appear at The Millennium Stadium if the situation is as we hope… and I would want Fev to win.

Yesterday was the best away atmosphere we’ve taken in a long time the match attendance was supposedly 1878 and no way there was 1400 Doncaster fans so I think our away number could be even more than the mentioned 471

Agree Cam. I’d have estimated the Knights following, including the contingent in the east stand, to be in the region of 800.

1400:471? id have said more away than home fans, at least it were half n half

we've always had vocal following even in the dark days and i know folks say 'oh york needs to increase its crowds and away following' yes it does but it is. even on those dubious figures our away support on sunday was about the same as our home support in 2016 for the donny match on the thursday night. i can remember goin to odsal around that time for a match that was rearranged or played mid week for some reason and if there was 25 york fans there id be surprised

onwards and upwards t'applegarth barmy army is growing day by day

If York are lucky enough to go to Super League fan base will grow easily I think.

Was talking to one my friends about it he's a big RU fan (sadly) but he said if York were Super League he would  attend York games especially when likes of ths Hull teams, Wigan, Saints, Rhino etc come to York. Although he's not as massive Rugby League fan yet he loves top level sport and loves the event of them. Im sure he's not the only one who think similar to him

I could easily think of 10-15 people I know that would come to games if the Knights were in SL. Obviously they wouldn't come to every game but there's certainly enough interest in York to get us to 4-5000 home fans most weeks if things go to plan.

People in York love an event and people love coming to York for an event. Games against Hull KR/FC, Leeds, Wigan, Saints, Cas & Wakefield should be full houses if we're doing things properly.

If we can serve up in Super League what we have in the last two seasons in the Championship people who come out of curiosity will return on a regular basis, I am sure, people like to be associated with a winning team. i have introduced a couple of new faces this season who said they would come again, after saying previously without watching a game, that they couldn't understand why I enthused about it so much. with teams like Hull KR , Hull and to a certain extent Cas and Wakey on our doorstep relatively speaking, I can see them bringing plenty of away support, I can see 5000 being an attainable figure if we can provide the entertainment and not, as has been in the past sadly, a hammering every week. I think Clint has the right idea if what has happened since he took over is anything to go by.

The noise generated by the Knights fans on the video replay, would suggest to me that there was alot more than 500 there.

Incredible n̈on stop singing, created a great atmosphere,  bet the players enjoyed it and appreciated it.

Was a decent turn out from us on Sunday again thought we had about 600 to 700 supporters at the game and the way we are playing at the moment the club will be surely disappointed if it can't sell out the East Stand on Sunday against Batley.

The club are doing their best to incentivise the supporters with the £20 deposit for next season’s season ticket and giving you a free ticket for the Batley game, if you are already a season ticket holder and intend renewing (why wouldn’t you?) it’s a no brainier, if you aren’t already it’s a nice bonus and you won’t find better entertainment on a Sunday afternoon. Hopefully plenty will have taken advantage and will be bringing a mate or partner, I certainly am, in fact I am bringing three, even if one becomes a regular that is a plus.
