Yes saw that…..can’t fault Killer for us 110% effort always…. Often came off the pitch battered and bruised having given his all which show his commitment. Good luck Killer!

A really good winger for us…..very dependable and a bit of a scoring machine.

Losing Else would be a real blow…..but I can see it coming to be honest. One door closes and another one opens as they say, I’m certain the board will be replacing with quality…..maybe the times right to move on for all parties.

Disappointing, not so much that two of our best players are leaving, thats life at the league 1 level. But the teams they are going to are really at a similar level to ourselves. Its not like they are being wood by Oldham’s “riches”.

All the best to both lads and thanks for the memories.

Max Flanagan signed on for 2026

A great retention this one, really stepped up this season when called upon…..nailed on for No1 shirt IMO but has also looked good at center and Stand-off.

i see Andy has replied to a few chats of FB saying more leavers / changes to come on both playing and coaching side….looking forward to seeing who we get in.

If the new Championship fixture list takes into account final league placing maybe losing those last two games may work in our favour.

Thats lacking ambition a bit….if we play the crappy teams we will definitely get crappy crowds. Lets not be accepting a bottom feeder position.

Jamie Dallimore just signed a player that covers a lot of what Ridyard gave us.I don’t think it’s lacking ambition , I think we need to build next season no good playing the top Championship sides and getting thrashed . Always more support for a winning team , ask Hunslet.

this season hornets finished 6th, you would have missed the play offs.

you finished behind north wales and midlands.

your going backwords not forwords.

something is badly wrong.

Unfortunately we do not have unlimited finances unlike some.. Dont kid yourself you are not buying success....

Always keep an eye on L1 with the amount of ex-yeds in the hornets squad, but what's going on at Hornets ?

I believe you are losing for the second year on the spin top talent:

Nelmes, Whittle, Else, mick ridy, mcnally and Forber

last year forster who joined us, Roden and wilko

I hope there is nothing in this and would love for both clubs to be thriving in the champ.

I don't think our friend Tandle represents the thoughts of most Oldham fans. I think I speak for most when saying we wish you well & look forward to meeting again next year. Am I right in thinking Ben Forster & Cian Tyrer will be back with you next year?

Sad to read about Lewis and Harrop, both top class talent we could build a side around, Harrop was a proper centre and will do well at a higher level, we all know how good Else is, with the right half-back partner.

Nelmes always gave his all and had some blockbusting games, I'd have liked all 3 to stay but that's the merry-go-round we see every season I guess.

Whittle was a 100%-er can't fault his steady Eddie approach and thank him for his efforts, The Simpson brothers did a job too but I'm not as upset about these 3 leaving to be honest.

Lets be honest / realistic even with the 'better' players we've had these last couple of seasons, we have underperformed when it came to the business end of the season (maybe I'm being a bit harsh about 2024 season) but definitely fell well short this season, whilst things off the pitch go from strength to strength.

Maybe the time is right for that change now.....lets see what the next few weeks / months bring I guess.

i  like  rochdale and i want them to do well.

but to finish 6th in cham 1 with new board members they have taken board.

and supposed to have put extra finance in the club.

this season as not been very good on the field.

i will say it again they have gone backwords.

Wow...else gone...but Midlands (no disrespect intended)...another top player signing for a team at our level. We dont seem to be competitive in the player market. You would think we should be moving heaven and earth to keep these players.

These are all blokes that Hornets 'discovered' in the community game and turned them into gems and then watched them walk to rivals.

Come on HHH lets have your thoughts on this if you are still around?

Else came from Swinton mate. I share your sentiments though. Going to a club at a higher level I can easily understand, but Midlands ? I believe Roden, who went there last season, went for a much increased contract that we couldn’t match.  The same goes for Forber, North Wales are at our level, maybe they also have deep pockets.

North Wales taken over by some Billy-Big-B0II0cks flash harries with loadsamoney. Midlands chucking cash around like a drunken sailor on shore leave. Hornets can't complete with some of the silly offers going around, so we'll rebuild within our means, in a more sustainable way and crack-on. Like we always have.

A salary cap is coming into the Championship, let’s see if that stops the boom and bust clubs that’s haunted Rugby League over the years. Beware Midlands , N. wales and Oldham.

Why is it when other teams do well it must be because they are doing it the wrong way? Lets not deny them their success…it all seems a bit childish.

Yeah, we’ve seen it all before. It’s endemic in Rugby League. Mr Deep Pockets decides the plan isn’t working anymore and it all goes #### up. Next thing you know the begging bowl comes out.

Is that true? Not seen it mentioned anywhere, would like to read about it if there's some info somewhere.
