Announced his retirement. Never a great player, but a good and honest one who always gave his all for whichever club he played for.

Spent a few seasons in the lower leagues at the end of his career, which I like.

Hope he stays in the game in some capacity.

Kris was an honest hardworking centre, who helped Hull KR in their growth period then onto Featherstone & Sheffield.

He was a late entrant into the game at 15 I believe.

Good luck to him.

It's always good to have a testimonial for a player where you spell his name wrong and the first thing said was "never a great player"

😉

I wouldn't want John to do the eulogy at my funeral, that's for sure 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Has Wane been in touch to give a motivational speech before the first test yet?

Kris averaged a try every other game  208 in 418 not a bad record for a centre.19 years playing although not reaching the very top level was a very good centre.Scoring 29 tries in 30 games for Bradford reads well especially as half were on that tight Odsal playing area.

Played every game this season.

Game 450 on Sunday, if selected.

He was a very good player. You dont get to 400+ appearances if you're not.

Both of his brothers were at Coventry Bears and great guys as well as being model professionals too.

He played against Liam on Sunday.

Well do you think he will go down as an all time great? Ffs

Yes, I spelt his name wrong. I sincerely apologise. Maybe I should have said he was a good player, not an all time great.

By the way, how many people on here have spelt the late, great Rob Burrow's name wrong without being slated?

It was a joke, but lots of people on this forum have been corrected on Burrow's name.

Great bloke too. He treated my office for a bug infestation about 3 years ago around the time he was at the Eagles.

If Johnh1 had known about these bug swatting skills earlier he’d have written Chris (ahem) a better eulogy. It needs more publicity.

A try for Kris in his last game brought his Eagles total to 50.

And a goal took his career total to three.

Kris's try at around 4.00.  Ryan Millar was on a hattrick there but preferred to pass inside to an obviously delighted Welham. Why is he retiring?

Now that's a proper team mate, good to see
