There is a charge on the land. I presume that this would have been used to get a loan?. This was with Yorkshire Choice Homes?.

I get the impression that Vickers is only carrying out the will of the majority shareholder.  They both need to be gone.

Fun at the clubs expense by looks of it.

A message from Mark Campbell

Since becoming the influential person at the club in 2006 I have consistently supported the club financially to ensure the club can continue to benefit the community.

As you are aware I took the decision to fully step back and hand control over to Paddy Handley 18 months ago as this would allow someone with a fresh approach and enthusiasm to take the club forward and help with the financial situation at the time.

As a fan like you, I have watched the season  develop and been filled with enthusiasm on what has been promised that the right decisions were being made at the club.

Paddy has now resigned and I’m left with the situation of stepping back in once again to ensure the future of our great club.

I will now seek a meeting with the current board set up by Paddy to have immediate access to the current financial situation at the club so that we can review the current state of affairs. Once this is provided a full review will be completed and we will update the fans/sponsors/creditors immediately of the situation.
Please bare with us during this transition period as this will take some time given my absence over the past 18 months. We are committed to ensuring the club has a bright future and also keeping you the fans updated .
Thanks

Mark

Interestingly a charge was taken out in November '23 on one of the packages of land supposedly transferred to Yorkshire Choice Homes in May of the same year........

Sorry but you don't/ can't know much about what's going on at planet Fev if you think that.

Being an invested person financially and still invested, don’t you lot worry about the future

What false promises has Paddy given ? That's my point.

I’m not against paddy I liked him but I work at council planning and the planning for the Astro turf they was talking about was submitted by not paddy or Martin vickers it was the chairman of Wakefield afc

Perhaps an application for funding for the pitch was being made by  Wakefield Fc to the Football League .Paddy  had said that a football team may be involved in cooperating in the scheme. This may have been part of this plan and generate additional monies. You could see Paddy was a shrewd businessman.

I understood the FA would part sponsor the development so could make sense to involve the Wakefield fc as part of the application.

First test is to see if the players get paid next week.

I‘m sure we’ll quickly hear if they don’t.

First thing is to get rid of that divvy in Martin vickers

Didn’t Campbell appoint Vickers in the first place?. It’s all too easy to blame MC, but isn’t he just following directions from the Chairman/owner?.

Yes mark did appoint him and mark put alot of trust into Martin maybe too much trust and he started doing a lot of things behind marks back that’s ruined the club! You could say mark should have seen what was happening but he had a lot of personal issues going off at the time and it was too late when he realised what was going off! Martin thought he had unlimited money to spend like he thought same at Salford and Toronto. What’s David longo doing these days? The club was in such a better place with him

Longo did do a great job. Still at Bradford City, so no chance of getting him back.

Longo knew what he was doing. Apparently Bradford City have been more than pleased with him.
