How about St Etienne though, a working class mining area where they like their sport and there’s no pro union club to compete with. You could have St Etienne Verts playing in the Geoffrey Guichard, the fixtures against Marseille and Lyon would sell out no bother. 

So by default because they're from France that makes their opinions correct? 

And what about the leader of the Federation, where is he from?

No but they actually know the lie of the land and don’t start picking cities to have teams in a fictional league off the back of one internet article. As one of them said earlier in the thread, this has happened many times before and nothing has ever come of it. We’d all love a pro French league but realistically it’s not likely.

You could do that anyway, most Elite 1 clubs sell merch, I have a Limoux shirt and ‘support’ them for example.

If it upsets you so much you should go and complain to Dominique Baloup leader of the Federation. I'm sure you can find his email online somewhere.

When i read your posts I often wonder if you even like RL.

What upsets me? The thing I’m saying is that people on this forum saying we should have pro teams in Paris, Marseille, Lyon etc while binning off established clubs who produce players are well off the mark.  The thought of a pro French league is great, I just can’t see it happening but will be chuffed to be proven wrong.

You're not wrong on that aspect and as someone that loves travelling to France and loves French RL no one gets more frustrated than me when plans don't materialise, but I'm not sure why you're debating with me on this, complain to the Federation if it upsets you so much. 

I'm only commenting on the exact statements and plans made by the president of the Federation which is to have a pro league by 2027 with a mix of current clubs and big cities

Paris, Marseilles and Lyon were all clubs... just need resuscitation.

Paris still exists in one of the lower leagues the last time I checked, both Paris Chatillon and Paris Charenton
