Even though there were 3 places between the two on the table, I think it's closer than that, especially now Wakey are able to get a better pack out. Leigh to get the win but no by many.

It's a play off and should be close, looking forward to a CV lose exciting match. Leigh slight favourites with the home crowd.

Result is irrelevant really.  Nice extra well supported awayday fixture with no pressure.

Probably a Leigh win but think the final hooter will still bring plenty of applause and appreciation from both sets of fans.

Go on Youtube and look up the 22 all draw against Hull this season. And look at his attempts then. Even his CC drop goal wasn't particularly well struck.

Wakey by 1 in golden point extra time.

Wakefield Trinity to nick it late on [ i hope so ]

If they turn up in the right frame of mind they can give any team above them a game [ apart from Saints who seem to be our bogey team ]

The whole free hit stuff is a nice narrative for the Wakefield squad. But they've beaten Leigh and Hull KR comfortably this season, and they're the two sides that stand between them and a place in a grand final. This could be as good a chance that they're going to get of getting to Old Trafford, given we don't know how other teams will strengthen year on year.

Absolutely no idea how tonight is going to go. Hopefully Leigh can avoid being bullied down the middle like in the game earlier in the season, though we had Hughes starting at prop and Dwyer starting at hooker that game. But we were also poor under a high ball that night and Rourke challenging Hodgson for Wakey's attacking kicks is going to be a real threat. As will Pratt challenging Hanley's defence.

Leigh will be hoping that the back 5 have some joy getting away from their own line, which then leads to Lam having space to create something at the other end.

Good assessment.

The big miss for Wakefield from that nights starting pack is Calib Hamlin-Uele, he was immense in that match making big yards and some telling offloads.

It shouldn’t be like this but I get the feeling Wakefield could get beat and be satisfied with their season while Leigh will feel they’ve fallen short of their expectations. That may be the telling factor in the teams attitudes towards the game.

I think fans of both sides will be fed up to see their side lose, but be able to reflect on a good season regardless.

I would've much rather have finished 4th, as I think Saints will offer less of a threat in attack than Wakey, and KR's form isn't as formidable as Wigan's. The opportunity is there for Wakefield to go to KR and test that out. But I think Wigan are ultimaely going to win the whole thing.
