Literally every position he’s held in RL has been mired with controversy, usually these kind of figures at least have some sort of redeeming quality but I have no idea how he’s enjoyed the career he has.

Well, he left Salford Council under a hugely controversial cloud (google is your friend on that one) then proceeded on a career path of Salford Red Devils (money issues), Toronto Wolfpack (money issues) and Featherstone Rovers (money issues).

Completely forgot about that one, so much so I had to google it and the first thing I found was allegations of data protection breaches, with SRD fans alleging to start getting emails about Swinton without ever signing up to any mailing lists🤣

Unless there's a really wealthy person who wants to invest, how can a club the size of Featherstone continue to run, with all the competing clubs around?

Fev's problems are pretty specific - they are still recovering financially from the failed 2023 promotion campaign, and suffered a sharp drop in crowds last year. That was turning round on the field this season under Paul Cooke, but it appears - reading between the lines - that plans to sort the financial hole have been stymied by internal politics at the club (the club own land around the ground earmarked for development).

There can't be much doubt that the club have looked shoddily run for the last couple of years, which I know annoys and angers a lot of Fev fans. The recent closing of a stand on H&S grounds, due to business activity in a commercial let underneath, is a classic example.

Really hope Fev can get this sorted, but rumour has it that Cooke and assistant Ged Corcoran have walked with Paddy Hanley too.

Which begs the question, how do these people keep getting employed with such records? Wood and Rimmer are two others who come to mind. 🤷‍♂️
