I used to get carsick a lot. I still do a little, if I'm not careful about what I do during a journey.

The best thing is to look around you, watch the scenery or talk to other passengers, not read a book, emails, phone messages etc. When you're not in sync with the vehicle's movements, you get queasy.

I've been travel sick on every continent except Antarctica. Kwells and/or staring intently out of the window the whole journey. I'm always ok at sea as long as I sit outside - fresh air definitely helps, as does not overheating.

Related question to this. Does anyone know of the rumours about electric cars causing travel sickness are true? Ive been in electric Ubers without any issues but they tend to drive quite carefully

Don't think so,  though it has been known to cause outbreaks of self-satisfied smugness. 😀

Re travel sickness medication,: ask your pharmacist to check for incompatibility with your prescription meds , if you are on any.

I take Stugeron when on long ferry trips. But then, I get seasickness taking a bath.

Beware any restrictions, such as driving.

I first read It as Sturgeon and quickly read on hoping for a juicy political scandal. Disappointed.
