Maybe the 1st chink in Matt Peet's great coaching legacy - not ruthless enough.

35 year-old Farrell's been 'gone' for a while now and it came to bite them in the end.

Same issue with Farrell as happened to O'Loughlin, kept playing 2 seasons too long.

The main lesson is especially in big games keep your discipline that spear tackle resulting in yellow card lifted Hull KR .I wonder what Brad O'Neill will be ruing his lack of discipline now

It wasn't anything to do with discipline, it was not a deliberate action.

It was an illegal tackle due to his over exuberance. Too keyed up . There was an incident at Wembley many years ago Wigan v Castleford and Hepworth escaped a sending off .

I was there (Wigan fan)! Didn't see clearly then, but looking now on Youtube it is probably the worst incident I've seen committed at Wembley - deliberate elbow into the face. Tyrer lost teeth onto the pitch and was bleeding profusely. Play was interrupted for a long time, and bizarrely by today's standards it was Wigan manager Eric Ashton who came onto the pitch to help him off. The referee obviously didn't see it, as no action was taken against Hepworth. Substitutes had just been introduced, and good old Eddie Waring says a few minutes later "it looks like Tyrer won't be coming back"!!

Probably the case, I hadn't realised Ethihad was that much smaller, which is a shame because its so much better

Currently it is smaller but the gap is closing with an extra tier being added to one of the stands soon to be completed. I think that takes attendance to around 61K and as you say it is better, a much nicer and more modern stadium.

I wonder what capacity is the minimum they would require.

What has an incident (pure cynical foul play to get Tyrer out of the game) from over 50 years ago got to do with it.

And Heppy escaped the ignominy of being the first man to be sent off at Wembley that fell to poor old Syd rip conned by by the great Alex playing the panto villain the following year lol

I see all these negative comments about Farrell, are we not in danger of being a bit like football fans and over reacting at the first sign of trouble.

It's only a season since he led the side to back to back grand final wins and a quadruple. As much as I was happy KR won the reality is that if it was for 2 freak handling errors in the first 10 mins by Wigan that game would of been a lot different.

At 35 he might not be at his best but he's not become a terrible player overnight.

The same with Wellens getting sacked, not a great season but semi finalists losing to the eventual winners and after a poor start to season he was showing signs of turning things around - its hardly a disaster.

All I'm saying is the kid committed an illegal tackle due to I'll discipline it was quite early in the game just like 1970 and players are hyped up . Heppy was not a dirty player occasion got to him ,but he should have been sent off . O'Neill was lucky to get 10 minutes

You obviously watched two different tackles.
