KnightsDadFan Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 I know it's gonna be a long few days but we have to remain calm and positive. Clint has a plan we've been following so far and until Friday we won't know what the next step of the will be. We were always planning on going full time for 2026. All the signings are fully vetted by Clint and the team with the clubs values and goals on mind. He's not going around throwing blank cheques at anyone it's all budgeted for. If it's bad news on Friday we as the vocal fan group need to keep the positive momentum. On IMG the one area we could really push to improve now is getting that average attendance above 3000. We can't go from 5000/5500 for a final down to 1000 cause we've got hunslet first game of next season. #together #weareyork #riseup 5
Fevrover Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 If its 'bad' news and York don't get in ,think of next season, York will romp home with that team.

Will that matter if there’s no relegation for 2 years. Hope Clint has factored that in sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Gav Wilson Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 It should be Toulouse, York, Bradford. I fear it'll be Toulouse, Bradford, London. I'll be delighted with Toulouse, York, London. If it's York, Bradford, London then the game's gone. 3 @GavWilson

Unless they earn the right I don't agree. 2 seasons ago, London were promoted on merit, on!y to be told they would be relegated at the end of the season regardless. They were not given a chance. I wouldn't be happy if they were "upgraded" before us, but, how many chances have Bradford been given? Just saying.

Best invite fev then since they were overlooked for London all those years ago sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Funny cos if we dont go up I wont be renewing my ST, going to watch us thrash PT teams that struggled in Div 1 this year aint entertainment.

Don’t even joke about it, surely common sense will prevail, with the team that is being assembled and just the ones we know about, it would be an absolute car crash if we were in the Championship. Would you want to be a part time player ,with a job to go to , and have the likes of Paul Vaughan and Justin Sangere charging at you? I’d be off in the opposite direction, sharpish.

We'd need fans through the turnstile more than ever to help Clint demonstrate to the RFL that they got their decision wrong. To punish the club for the blinkered stupidity of others just doesn't make sense.

It's going to be a massive factor for knights supporters if we end up staying in a mix mash league i personally think it will put supporters of renewing the season ticket for next season if we end up playing a lot of teams from league one next season at home.

Acasterknight Posted October 16, 2025 Posted October 16, 2025 Reports this morning that London have got the 13th place in SL, if this is true then it’s between Toulouse and us for the last place

Imagine how the RFL will look (can't be any worse at the moment) if they get 13th and crowds stay low etc. etc. needs testing first in my opinion. CHAMPIONS 2005

I can take missing out to Toulouse as they've actually won the competition, but a club who have had multiple goes, offer nothing but promises and so far signed 2 players and finished 10th, 24 points behind the league leaders is just ridiculous. Bradford have managed to work the IMG system, not right in my opinion but they've done it so hats off to them. Hopefully they are competitive in SL cos as it stands they'll be nowhere near with the squad they've got so far. They need to improve their ground too but we all know it'll just stay how it is. Toulouse have been the most consistent club for a few years, won the Grand Final and been full time. We all know what York have got and achieved so should be in if all is fair. London? Maybe a year of proving themselves and grow off the back of a winning side would be the most sensible thing, but when has this sport ever done the sensible thing? Gateshead, Celtic Crusaders, Paris, Toronto, London x 10... I'll be glad when this rubbish is all over, it's done my head in. 3
