As you can see, silver, gold and platinum members of Wakefield get access to all DEWSBURY, home games.

I don't think I've ever seen this sort of arrangement before. Is there a more formal link up between the clubs?

The only one that comes to mind is Skolars used to offer discounts/free entry to Broncos season ticket holders/members. Not sure it was ever reciprocated or, really, did either club much good.

Why Dewsbury specifically in this case would be my question too.

Does this mean Dewsbury will be starting to count all Wakefield Silver + season ticket holders on their gates......

It's wording suggests casual entry rather than any membership so I guess only those who actual turn up for each game.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

It might be that they are the nearest club to Wakefield.

They are either side of the M1, about 6 miles along the A638.

I know where they are but similar logic could be applied to Batley, Fev or Hunslet. Its not a common arrangement at all so wonder what the benefits are deemed to be for both sides.

I wonder what paying Dewsbury fans will think of this.

Wonder if buying a Dewsbury season ticket will get you any Wakefield games thrown in?

I'd imagine it would be combined with a dual reg, or at the very least first refusal on loan players since we seem to be moving away from DR - the arrangement suggests there are going to be Wakefield players to watch at Dewsbury. Dewsbury get the benefit of players and also the secondary spend in the ground of any Wakey fans, Wakey get an interesting/outside the box benefit to push people into paying for higher tiers - I know I'd be going for those tiers with those benefits.

It's good to see another club adopting the membership system that Leigh put in place in 2023, most of the benefits are taken straight from Leighs but with a few novel additions like the Dewsbury games. Moving to the tiered monthly memberships has been the biggest success off pitch for Leigh. It's even got to the point where we've switched to an opt-out autorenewal system so most of the sales are already done.

Just seems really odd that Wakefield would effectively be selling Dual season tickets with Dewsbury!

Agree on all the rest. Leigh have got the membership model done really well. From a Leeds perspective we used to really lead on this but its all become a bit stale. The flexi member stuff has been good though.

It's a long time ago now but I think Leeds season ticket holders could get into Bramley games free during the dismal end of their pro existence, playing at Headingley.

They're not though.

Entry into a Dewsbury home fixture is just one of a few extra perks given if you pay the extra £50 or so choosing Silver over Bronze membership.  You go to a game, Dewsbury possibly get some food and drink sales and an extra bod on the attendance/terracing.

I'll be getting a tier that includes many perks I'll not be using, attending a Dewsbury game probably being one of them.

Silver seems very attractive. It's entirely possible that the number of Silver, Gold and Platinum members number in the thousands.

That said they are clearly selling a Dewsbury ST. The valuation of that may be negligible to many Wakey fans, but it certainly is something that I haven't seen before either in RL or indeed in sport more widely; save for a Mens ST covering the Womens or reserve grade teams home games for example.

Is there a broader partnership there?

Most county cricket clubs have reciprocal arrangements to allow free entry to members of other counties if attending a match as a neutral

Unfortunately Widnes season tickets get you into Widnes games, I'd prefer an alternative tbh 😉

Doesn't look like we'll be needing season tickets at all,way its going  😉 .

True, but most county cricket clubs aren't as close to eachother as Wakey and Dewsbury, nor is it for for their major short format matches iirc from my Yorkshire Gold Membership!

Is there chance that Dewsbury have more ticket holders out there than ground capacity?  If i was a Dewsbury season ticket holder and couldn't get in due to a load of Wakey fans decided to have a day out I'd be a bit peeved,

True enough, was just offering an example.

Leigh and Salford used to have a similar arrangement a few years ago.

Quite possibly. It just seems odd, unless there's some other financial element to this behind the scenes.

If Leeds did this at Hunslet for example you could get 20 times their average attendance! The capacity is only around 3.5k anyhow.

I'm not saying I'm completely against this, but there does have to be some sort of logic put out there to make it work as a system.

I suppose neither were at the level to max out capacity with this arrangement. What became of it?
