I think most clubs have completed the bulk of their new signings for the 2026 season, there may be a few stragglers and the newly promoted clubs will have some business to do.

Leeds:

1. Miller

2. Sivo

3. Newman

4. Handley

5. Hall

6. Croft

7. Connor

8. Oledski

9. O'Connor (unless there is some recruitment)

10. Palasia

11. ? Watkins perhaps

12. McDonnell

13. Smith

14.

15.

16. Cassell (likely in this sort of role)

17. Jenkins

18.

19. Holroyd

20. Sinfield

21. Edgell

22. Nicholson-Watton

23. Lumb (should have a squad promotion but who knows)

24. Littlewood

25. McCormack

26. Simpson

I think the first 13, save for maybe a couple of numbers, is pretty nailed on. Losing Lisone, Gannon, Bentley and Ackers, removes 3 usual components of our first choice 17 at least. Watkins partially has replaced one of the Back Rowers, maybe Cassell too - but as internal promotions they still leave gaps behind them.

Lisone is a big loss particularly in how the team so often looked to him to impact a game on the 30 minute mark. A line busting forward is a key attribute we may need to recruit.

Frawley being gone should be seen as an opportunity for Sinfield to definitely be the reserve half for the season or even to cement his place off the bench as injuries come into play. I could see him leaving though too if they can give him regular matches.

Wouldn't even try with Warrington, no idea what the final squad will be. York being promoted probably means Dufty to York.

I think I saw Gill was off to Sheffield, although you've missed off Ethan Ryan who was apparently a done deal

2027 is the interesting year, quite a few come off contract end of next year (all the 3 quarters apart from Davis for example), but with Declan Murphy, Jack Broadbent & Jumor Sambou all signed. Shouldn't be a massive transition.

Forgot to add depth.

Backs.

Declan Murphey, Noah Booth, Jumah Sambou, Jack Broadbent, Lee Kershaw, Louis Gorman.

Forwards.

Kelepi Tanginoa,,Jack Brown, Tom Whitehead, Jordan Dezaria, Cobie Wainhouse,

1. Jai Field

2. Abbas Miski

3. Adam Keighran

4. Jake Wardle

5. Liam Marshall

6. Bevan French

7. Harry Smith

8. Ethan Havard

9. Brad O’Neil

10. Luke Thompson

11. Junior Nsemba

12. Liam Farrell ©

13. Kaide Ellis

14. Patrick Mago

15. Kruise Leeming

16. Sam Walters

17. Zach Eckersley

19. Tyler Dupree (*)

20. Jack Farrimond

21. Tom Forber

22. Sam Eseh Jr

23. Harvey Makin

24. Kian McDermott

25. Taylor Kerr

26. Tiaki Chan (*)

27. Jonny Vaughan

28. Dayon Sambou

29. George Hirst

30. Noah Hodkinson

31. Lukas Mason

32. Nathan Lowe

(*) There are rumours that Dupree will be on his way out. I'd be surprised if we're not trying to offload Tiaki Chan.

Most likely starting line up:

Field

Miski* - Keighran - Wardle - Marshall

French - Smith

Havard - O'Neill - Thompson

Farrell* - Ellis - Nsemba

Bench*: Walters, Mago, Eseh/Dupree, Leeming

We're definitely looking weak in a few areas here.

Eckersley will hopefully oust Miski on the wing. I can't see Wardle or Keighran missing up but Eckersley needs to be playing more often than not next season. Maybe Sambou can make a claim too but from what I've seen he's not good enough at the moment.

We desparetly need another back row to replace Farrell but options are thin on the ground. Walters will be needed at prop as we're down on numbers compared to this season. Hirst doesn't look like he's good enough at second row but I've been a bit more impressed with how he played at prop for Oldham. Vaughan has apparently been signed to play second row but he's an unknown quantity for sure. Other options could be Kian McDermott who has apparently trained at second row but is a prop by trade, or Taylor Kerr who is a ball playing 13 but may be able to fit in at second row. I don't think Nathan Mason is ready yet.

Prop is an interesting one. Losing Byrne and Hill takes away some of our depth. I'm not certain about Eseh - he seems like a mixed bag. McDermott, Makin and Hirst could possibly play their way into contention during the season. McDermott is the best of those. I can't imagine Chan is involved at all but stranger things have happened.

Probably missed someone!

Hull have put together an unreal squad for 2026. There are genuinely 6 or 7 title threats going into next year, especially if Rowley gets the Saints gig. Possibly the most open SL ever.

It's the depth I'm most pleased about. We're possibly lacking a few big game-breakers (or they haven't quite developed yet), but we've got some great depth to plug the gaps where injuries are concerned and competition for places that will drive development.

Everyone is replaceable. No easy rides.

It'll all come down to how long you can keep Asiata (and a few others like Cartwright) on the pitch for, as with 2025. If they're on the pitch for more than 75% of games including playoffs, FC will be in the picture for sure.

I am not very confident about Saints. We are offloading a lot of players (Batchelor, Bell, Bennison, Knowles, Sambou, Vaughan, Ritson et al) and so far only brought in Host and Wright. We’ve also got no Head Coach. The likes of Lomax and Paasi are well passed it plus Walmsley, Percival et al are on their last legs. The club as in real risk of falling further behind unless radical changes are made and quickly.

Really interesting season in store in terms of going for trophies looking at the squads. It feels like it could be as wide open as it has been for a long time because of a few factors at the usual suspects (last 3 winners)-

HKR-They'll start as favourites but it'll be interesting to see how the exits of McIlorum and JWH impact them and there are lots of other factors to deal with (being the hunted, the Vegas trip, the WCC and so on).

Wigan-I think the salary cap has bit Wigan now and the squad won't be as strong in terms of depth. I'm hoping the hunger will be improved on the back of last week but we may need more than that.

Saints-Lost loads of players and the replacements to date look a but underwhelming. I do think a new coach could use a couple more of the young lads, find out they're as good as Robertson and get plenty of momentum from that but they'll need more signings.

I think HKR's season this year could inspire plenty of clubs and let them dream, so I wouldn't rule out many clubs chances.

I’m only guessing, I’m not a Bulls fan

It’s going to be hard for all 3 clubs as most decent players have signed deals with clubs. But as a Salford fan I’ll say Lewis is a top player who always gives 100%! Masters and nikorima have been good in a poor season aswell
