The discussion on tourists reminded me of this. Whatever happened to it?

There used to be a really interesting RL museum in a pub (Sorry, can't remember the name) next door to Oulton Raiders ground. Is it still there? Maybe the question these days should be is the pub still there?

Did they also sell Gold Label and have salted peanuts with a photo of a topless woman on the cardboard?

I believe it was called the Bentley Arms.

No, I'm quite sure it wasn't a Whitbread pub. I seem to remember Whitbread launched Gold Label about 1971 ish when I worked there.

Wasn't it a BYB house, Bentley's Yorkshire Breweries whose main brewery was down by the river and canal at Woodlesford.

The George Hotel I think?

Thanks.

Whilst I understand its importance, that’s absolutely the wrong place for a museum.

I think it was also mooted for Robins Park Arena at one point. Red Hall seemed appropriate before the RFL left.

It needs to be in the city centre of Leeds IMO

Whats the right place?

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

If it was in any city centre, I probably wouldn't go.

Should be in that farmhouse on the M62.

That’s a difficult one. It needs to be somewhere that people actually visit already. City Centre like Leeds for example. I personally would put it near RFL HQ near the Eithad in Manchester.

Why? Millions of others do.

That's why.

Don't think a museum for 1 really works

Neither does a museum in a city centre, given the property costs.  How many sports have their museums in city centres?

If we have one at all, it'll probably be at a ground.  Preferably one that's owned by the club, rather than rented.  Headingley, probably - near the Yorkshire Cricket Museum.   Bit of car parking is a bonus.  Much depends on how much floor area is needed.

Near RFL HQ is another likely contender.
