Have to say the Whitebank stadium where Oldham played was the worst I have seen by a mile. The loyalty of their fans must have been severely tested having to watch their team there. Its also the only stadium I have seen where staff and players from the visiting team got their bags searched and got frisked before being allowed into the ground.

Much improved these days, the home of Avro FC with an artificial pitch.

In answer to the original question, I think the more modern facilities of Don Valley saves it from top spot behind Odsal. I’ve been both during Bullmania and in the Championship and the lack of improvement is ridiculous.

Dewsbury's old Crown Flatt ground post- main stand fire (c. 1990). Three sides of crumbling, partially-cordoned off terracing and one burnt-out husk of a stand with a temporary roof held up by scaffolding.

Tattersfield (although I enjoyed going there because the Donny fans are great !!)

Alt Park Huyton ?  Nuff said !

Wasnt a big fan of Gilford Park Carlisle either.

Odslum ? Just a soulless cesspit.

I concur with each of these. And the coldest I've ever been at a game was at Crown Flatt in 1974.

I thought you were describing Odsal again.

Prescott. Tiny stand with a leaking roof; if more than 300 turned up they ran out of hot drinks and food by kick off time; awful playing surface. (And we lost, which doesn't influence my choice one bit!)

I would also throw in a shout for the Athletic Grounds in its last year, Owlerton and a severely crumbling, probably dangerous Fartown just before the club left for good.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Would add Hunslet, a main stand and that's it.

Don Valley stadium.

Wasn't a fan of Huntingdon stadium.

Craven park before east stand extended, and North stand built.

Had that at Leigh. Knee-jerk reaction to the Manchester Arena bombing.

I'm gonna go with my very own craven park in the 90s, shockingly bad for a relatively new stadium.

Awful pitch with corners cut off for the speedway track and then the greyhound track on the outside of that.

As for the poor away fans in that south stand (might aswell have been  stood on one of the ferry's you were that far away from the pitch) felt so sorry for them stood braving the elements in February (except obviously the fc fans, loved that).

Mad really how my feelings to the stadium have changed, I really would not swap my spot in the east stand for any other place in any of the other super league stadiums.

Huntingdon is in Huntingdonshire.

You're maybe thinking of Huntington.  Completely different place.

That's why I put it, comparing it now to what it Was in 90's is like chalk & cheese.

Ryedale stadium, atrocious pitch, no atmosphere, and they are the good points! There have been some other shockers though, Hutton, if you came away from there with everything intact you were lucky, obviously everyone who doesn’t have a BD postcode hates the dump that is Odsal , thankfully most clubs have moved on and have much better facilities now, even working toilets,  I did say Most clubs😂😂😂😂
