Tony Petzler

I had very sad news relayed to me today by R L Winger, a good friend of Wests Tigers Rule. Tony Petzler aka Wests Tigers Rule, died at Gosford Hospital NSW last Saturday 15th November 2025 after bravely battling cancer. I know RLW has shared many good times with Tony watching both Rugby League and boxing.

Tony has been a regular in our forum weekly NRL match tipping competition.

We will miss him.
 

Please pass on our condolences to Peter’s family and friends R L Winger.
Our thoughts are with you at the passing of your friend.

We will add Tony to our In Memoriam section in our Grand Final tipping competition 2026 and annually thereafter.

To a great Mate

You were one of my best Mates outside my Motorcycle Club & will always be remembered & missed  especially every time I watch a game of rugby league or a boxing fight as we watched a lot together since 1976. Both our families were close Tony and his wife were Godparents to my daughter.

A true Brother to the end.
