For England's women against Wales and England's men against Tonga?

17 October 2026.

I'll start, I'm aiming to be there.

I'd wait to see who is the England coach first before committing to any expense, basically if it is Wane I'd steer well clear.

I am looking at the options, leave from work and travel etc.

I would like to do Perth and then move on to Sydney and then Brisbane, but need to get a few yes's in order to do the full month.

So, I have a question for any seasoned travellers between England and Australia.

I have been looking at flights and there isn't an enormous difference in price between the buisness class Quantas London to Perth non stop and the first class option with Malaysia Airlines but that has a stop.

Time will not be an issue, I am not doing anything other than relaxing - has anyone done the Malaysia Airlines option and decided it is worth the extra flight time?

I haven't done that flight, but I have been to Kuala Lumpur and if you were planning to break your journey for a couple of days you could do a lot worse, I really liked it there.

Malaysia Airlines to be avoided ...dont have a great track record. I did qantas Perth to London for the Ashes. Its a loooong flight and I did economy but was lucky to have three seats to myself and got plenty of zzzzzzz!

I have no great affinity for Qantas...still paying that mad irishman multi million dollar bonuses years after he left under several clouds. But their service is usually top class, particularly business.

Thanks. That's my mind made up.

Can’t speak for first class Malaysian. The business class Qantas option is a very comforting flight.

I don’t think Malaysian Airlines meet the same hospitable standards they had when I was first travelling, however, that was simply comparing economy flights. I have little doubt their first class flights will be premium. Last time I flew with them was economy about 12 years ago and the interior was very tired. Old, frayed and ripped seats with tray holders needing love. Haven’t cared to fly them since.

I almost always fly Qantas where there is a choice. The safety record is key for me in choosing to fly with them over any other airline. They are usually more pricey and when the budget isn’t in my hands, I usually have to fly someone else. Just flew Singapore yesterday for that very reason which made me irrationally anxious.

Would love to say yes but unfortunately not. Out here in Adelaide passing time until the new season starts. Thoughts on the stadium, as good as the One Bore?

Can concur with that. Took 32 hours to get from Sydney to London the last time I flew with them. Delays, plane breakdowns and more delays caused great anxiety as I hate flying.

Not planning to go to Perth but will attend the final in Brisbane and maybe a Newcastle match as it is only a 2 and a half hour drive for me.

Ah, no worries…..thought you might have been the guy I was sat with who lives in Christie’s Beach-madness who you run into 😂

Outstanding venue, just let down by the bar service in hospitality 🙈

RL Fans talking about first class and business class seats ...

What has happened to the sport I loved ?!

I will get my coat wax jacket and make the walk of shame over to the cross code pages.

Emirates or Qatar.

I wouldn’t spend a cent on Qantas after what happened through COVID and that over paid Irishman that fleeced the taxpayers of Australia.

I’d avoid Etihad  as well, they are awful.

emirates and Qatar are brilliant.  Hoping to fly Singapore for next years trip. Only one I’ve not done yet.

It's all personal opinion and maybe one or two good/bad experiences. I would always choose Etihad over Emirates or Qatar.

Hong Kong is great for short stopovers - they make it so easy to pop into the city from the airport for an hour or two. Singapore you probably want a day or two to look around. KL you need longer to get to more interesting  places nearby (e.g. Penang, Melaka), same is true for Jakarta.

Qatar are nothing special however business class is excellent.
