Welcome everyone, regulars and newcomers.

I’ve set up the Supercoach competition for 2026.

Here’s the details with the all important code you’ll need to join in.

League Title:

TotalRLSCLeague26

686466 - the six digit code you need to enter our league 

Please join straight away as there are limited places available.

Unlimited changes are allowed until the kick off of Round 1 

 

I've joined by setting so to start with there are a further 19 places available in this 20 place league.

It's a Head to Head and Total Points league.

The format:

* H2H - 20 teams, starts Rd 1, top 8 finals Rd 23 (9th-16th Minor Finals, all teams play each other once)

* Total Points comp

 

You are welcome to enter whether you've played here before or are new.

It's a league limited to 20 teams with places available on a first come first served basis.

It’s the first day of posting and already six places have been taken.

N.B. I’ve changed my team’s name to Rovers Return.

This isn’t a reference to the pub in Coronation Street but to my British RL club Featherstone Rovers which has been denied a place in the newly created Championship league after over 100 years in the professional game. I’m hoping the club will reform under new ownership/management and be re admitted for the 2027 Championship season. I’m hoping for a Rovers return.

My team symbol is navy blue horizontal (butcher’s) stripes reflecting Fev’s traditional home kit.

Four of the above 8 teams already entered have created their club badge. It’d be great if everyone would create a badge for their team.

Decided to have a go at this this season though its a complete first for me.  Can someone confirm that for substitutes you can pick anyone of your reserves, i.e you can select four backs if you want?

Yes, you can pick any 4 from the 12 you have as squad players. Backs have higher ceilings than forwards, but forwards tend to have better base scores because of their work rate.

I had my worst season in 2025, but I stuck with it gradually improving my team until running out of trades about three weeks before the end.

Don't worry about embarrassing yourself, everyone who contributes to this thread is friendly and helpful. It's a much more pleasant environment than the General Forum.

The only problem is : if you ask six people for advice, you will get six different answers. There is no right or wrong way to do it, just the way that works for you.

Apparently, Supercoach is now going to use the same stats provider as the NRL. This impacts scoring, because try assist counts and tackle counts vary hugely between the different methodologies. Suddenly, full backs become less valuable and hookers and centres will be under priced according to the podcasts I gave been checking out today.

In short : up the spend on hookers, reduce it on full backs and halves. Be careful which centres you pick.

Tomorrow sees the first TLT of the season, for the Cowboys, Knights, Dogs and Saints at least. How many of our Supercoach squad are we expecting to be named? Not many for me - probably only 3 or 4 unless there are some surprises.

I’ve changed my squad quite a lot since TLT.

I had put a lot of money into Cleary, but I’ve moved him on at least for now. The money was useful elsewhere.

I’ve currently got a fair few playing in Las Vegas.

Rightly or wrongly, every time I think about looping I get @Irish Saint in my head telling me it isn't in the spirit of the game. A lot will depend on what my team looks like after Tuesday.
