Looking at their squad, they have some good players but not sure they will finish higher than 3rd or 4th bottom, so a win not out of the question. Quite a few ex-Broncos boys, Andy Ackers, Ed Chamberlain, Joe Keyes & Guy Armitage together with Lee Greenwood as Asst Coach who had a great season with us in 2004/5 with 23 tries from the wing. I suspect Mad Max will get somewhat more than that if his current strike rate continues. If it does, he might get close to Mark Johnson's season record. Edited January 29 by Deadcowboys1
the-bearded-lefty Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 You'd think he's going to be difficult to stop. I do fancy us again Bradford. Not sure their forwards look that impressive.
RfE Posted January 29 Posted January 29 If nothing else this weekend’s game and the Bradford cup tie will give us a chance to gauge how good our current squad is. 1

On the other London thread one poster says over 2,000 tickets have been sold. Had hoped we’d get a gate closer to what we had against Widnes. Suppose there could be a few last minute walk ups. Has the club done its £10 tickets offer to ‘Aussies in London’?
the-bearded-lefty Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Strong squad. No Havili but that looks about it.
the-bearded-lefty Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Team as predicted give or take. BWM to block Marsters. Only 2 forwards on the bench...

Yeah, Stock 19th man again. 20/20 hindsight he should have been one of the interchanges. Thought at 8-4 if we got the next score we might be on to cause an upset, even at 8-10 it could have gone either way. No way back when we got a few injuries and used up all our interchanges. Hope none of them are serious. Cant fault the effort, perhaps a few different last play options could have helped. Would have been nice to cause an upset but it wasn’t to be, overall I thought the result flattered Bulls a bit. Concentrate on the Championship now.
the-bearded-lefty Posted February 8 Author Posted February 8 Ach you lose a halfback, 2 props, a second row and a centre, play for 20m one less player, it doesn't matter who you have on the bench. So frustrating as we seemed v v physically on top at HT. They play v nice rugby, weirdly for Bradford, but they're going to get properly stuffed by anyone with a decent pack. If I have once criticism it's that I'm not sure JD knows his spine. A match squad of 3 scrum halves, a stand off and a hooker with an additional 2 hookers injured to still come in feels a bit messy. Onwards.... At least it gives the squad a good run out. Simbiken to get a go would be nice.
