Waine just missed out to Moore (I think) at London according to an ex Director of Rugby. Wildie hopefully will have recovered from his brother’s nuptials. I’d give Walker a run out to build up his fitness. Smith might get a run if he’s recovered from flu. No disrespect and we all know about banana skins but we should have too much power and pace for the Rams who’s last three games (all wins) have been close against Keighley and Hunslet ( though wins nevertheless) and West Hull in the Cup. I’m assuming that Alan Kilshaw is acting Head Coach for the foreseeable. Oldham by 12.

Waine was fit but was  18th man. Walker wasn’t risked and Willie was at his brothers wedding

I’m resisting the temptation to make a comment about willie at a wedding as I know we’re far too sophisticated to stoop so low. 🤭

Your forecast is a bit conservative in my mind. We have only played teams of a similar standard and struggled for the victories. It’ll be more like 36.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I'd go Walker, Nisbet, Davies, Bibby, Dixon, Dean, Drinky, Ted, Wildie, Farnworth, Ashurst, Moore, Purcell. subs: Geyer, Makin, Milner, Waine.

Wouldn't mind seeing Littler get a run out as once we get going in the season proper it's going to be difficult to find him gametime. Would drop Ormonroyd, simply not doing enough. Purcell has forced Milner out of the starting team for me with 3 excellent performances in a row.

I would agree re Jack Ormondroyd. Lots of tackles but very little penetration tbh. Milner I think he’ll save for the bigger matches-no disrespect to Dewsbury - for his experience and leadership. But as you say, Purcell more than worth a starting place.

This game could well be an indication of the morale in the club.

From listening to Alan Kilshaw & Jake Bibby on Roughyeds’ TV, plus the photos from the training sessions it all looks amazingly positive from the playing side, unless they’re very very good actors. All the uncertainty must affect them, you’d think. Probably be a relief to actually get on the pitch.

He’s in the squad I posted just towards the bottom.

Gutted to miss this one. I think we’ll see waine and Moore getting some minutes. Be nice for littler to see a run out also.

I'm also feeling positive about killer taking charge. Aggressive in defence and expansive in attack 🤞Uptheyeds
