I’m wondering how seriously York will take this game, they seem to have their eyes on a record attendance at home to HKR in their first ever SL game.

I’m also thinking their priority will be SL and fighting for points, they won’t want the added extra of cup games.

For ourselves another SL team at home in the next round could bring some much needed cash into the club.

Despite your previous flippant remarks about the Raiders, "You were nowhere near York last season when they were part-time, so don't get your hopes up". "You've still got to beat either Wigan St Judes or Leigh Miners before you get a go at York anyway", Raiders fans always show respect to opponents, even Yorkie's.

So here is the information you are requesting:

Pity we won't have the pleasure of your company at the game to give you an old-fashioned Cumbrian handshake...

Hoping the weather is the same as the Salford game and it can be a bit of a leveller. That being said I think York will have too much for us, just a shame it wasn't a team that travels well for the extra revenue.

It is a shame, but to be fair, a Saturday evening kick off in Barrow with the current weather isn't that appealing from a travelling point of view. I'm not too sure any club would bring that many fans.

It didn’t seem to bother Salford, they turned out in good numbers and were a credit to their club👍🏻🏉

My first time visiting barrow this weekend one of the only stadiums I never did whilst we were in the championship.I’m expecting us to take this game very seriously full strength side ready for the KR game on Thursday.Barrow are a team Ive always respected give any team a fight always have thrown the ball well and played expansive rugby Im not expecting an easy win like others might be it’s always a tough game up in Cumbria and we certainly won’t be wanting to slip up especially with how well you’ve started.

I am really looking forward to this test after the games we've had so far. Hoping they come complacent and resting a few for the following week. 😃

"Due to low demand we will not be taking a bus to this fixture" - York RLFC.

Not taking us seriously?

Even Huddersfield managed a coachful.

We’re bringing a coachful just not through the club

And other forms of transport are available

Sorry, but I know nothing about any of your players.

Could someone please advise if it's close to full strength 21 or have some of your best players been left out? Thank you.

PS: Just to let you know, we have 2 senior wingers injured (Bulman & Toal) so we might have to select Academy youngster Knott again for his 2nd game.

Unfortunately for you that is a full strength York side barring maybe 1

Excellent.

You are giving us the respect that I believe we deserve and you're not holding anyone back for Hull KR.

We played our full strength side v Wigan amateurs, because you never know, upsets can and do happen.

I hope they remember to bring their proper boots - it'll be another muddy one, I fear.

Barrows pack are as strong on the day, it could be another mud bath game leveler so that will slow up their No 2 Jones-Bishop. Keep on top of their 6 and 7 and it could be a close game.

Barrow 20 York 38 att 1750 ish cant see more than maybe 50 ish York fans travelling i think we will give York a good game and be close until last 20 odd mins i feel but end of day there fulltime pros so should win i feel but i do hope for an upset with them being fresh see they have had 1 pre season game at Huddersfield they lost in January they were way ahead of us last season and have strengthened alot so be a tough game and will show how good a side we actually are when coming up against fulltime pros

A lot of them will not be used to a slippery mud bath, SL players usually play on snooker table surfaces 😂 It will give Barrow an outside chance, they are used to it by now.

I don't really care as long as we give our all. Simple fact is, we haven't played any decent sides yet: This will be a much sterner test than anything we've faced so far this season, that's for sure.
