I watched the excellent Rugby League Outsiders video on the North Wales Crusaders on YouTube (which inspired me to purchase some merch), so I’ll be cheering them on.

would love to see the lock lane v kr tie on tv with a david v goliath cup magic tag - they do it in soccer so why dont we?

Because it would be a ridiculously one-sided tie which would see Lock Lane put 100 points on KR.

This will be more like David v 17 Goliaths. I really hope HKR go easy on Lock Lane in their selection. 

If not, it could be over 100.

Their 21 man squad is decent. At least 9 or 10 of their first choice guys in there.

Matt Peet saying Sam Eseh, Ethan Havard and Brad O'Neil will be in the mix for the C Cup game at Rochdale. He mentions that the line up will be a starter for the first SL game of the season at Castleford. No mention of Harry Smith so no doubt Jack Farrimond will be scrum half.

There were rumours around Wigan that Smith would struggle to make the Cas game. We shall see!

Sheffield's first two Challenge Cup ties were against Warrington, losing 19-54 in 1985 and 11-62 in 1986.

Fun fact - neither of those scores ever happened again, before or since.

In terms of a proper contest, Keighley-Midlands looks the tie of the round. May pop over to Lawkholme for that. Shame Barrow-York is on Saturday (i.e. football day for me). Sunday, and I'd have gone almost certainly.
