On the website it says Boundary Park as the venue. Is this correct, or was the website fixture list compiled before our recent departure?

Let's hope they don't have to alter it.

Only if they open a separate stand for our Bill plus stewards! 😂😂

Suspect it will get changed. Can't see us paying disputed monies Latics say they are owed until the matter is resolved legally. That's not likely to happen quickly unless Latics back peddle very quickly.

If it gets moved, would it still be on a Friday night do you think?

No idea - presumably it would depend on the football schedule at Stalybridge and / or considerations of the travel for fans in a Friday night versus Sunday.

Stalybridge are away on the 21st so no clash, I would prefer Sundays at Bower Fold so no rushing after work and more chance of a decent away following, it would probably take Widnes fans 2hrs+ on the 62/60 friday evenings, you only have to go back to the Salford game to know how bad that road is at that time of day!

I think this upcoming Widnes game at "HOME" could be a watershed moment of our season for Oldham fans especially those who have purchased season tickets (as i have):-

From listening to BQ's comments at the weekend at Staylbridge irrespective of who's right and who's wrong the likelihood of a return to Boundary Park in the foreseeable future looks remote (with a bit of luck miracles will happen but I'm not hopeful)

Therefore it boils down to two question that at some point the club must answer, I'm assuming negotiations are on-going so I'd expect some sort of clarification at the beginning of next week:-

1) If the first "HOME" league game is to be played at Bower Fold and not Boundary Park is it then likely the rest of this seasons "HOME" games will continue to be played there OR if a resolution can be found there would be a return at some point in the season to Boundary Park.

2) If the first "HOME" game is to be played at Bower Fold where do season ticket holders then stand? Will refunds be offered if requested on a game by game basis whilst we play in Stalybridge until such point we return to Boundary Park OR if for the rest of 2026 all games are played at Stalybridge will your season ticket (if requested) be refunded in whole?

I am a long term fan and bought my ticket for this season at Boundary Park in good faith. I have sympathy with the club and what seems to have gone on behind the scenes and feel for their predicament however fans have shelled out lots of money upfront and need some sort of clarity as to where they stand. Personally I'm not a fan of Bower Fold, never have been and also logistically it would be difficult for me to attend the majority of games if held there. If we are to end up playing at Bower Fold this season then I'd be looking for a refund on my season ticket and then I'd be a "pay on the door" spectator as and when I could attend.

I sincerely hope and wish a resolution to the current differences can be reached and Oldham get back to playing where they belong back at Boundary Park in Oldham. I think this season we have a cracking squad and can really do something. Success on the park will generate success off it and I see no reason why with this squad back at Boundary Park can increase crowds. Remember apart from the die-hards the new club is only two seasons old, it will take time to generate the large fan base we all want but given time (I know we all want this yesterday!!!) but I feel we can get there.

Lets see what happens over the coming days!

If we have to play at Bower Fold the crowds will be down to Approx 1000 could we get the missing spectators back next year if sorted for BP? Also for season ticket holders what is going to be our extra game that we are owed and if HALIFAX drop out (hope not ) what happens to the fixtures then  but I saw mentioned about people taking photos of all the cars parked but that will get worse sooner it’s sorted out the better would anyone know how much we  are meant to owe latics

Games at Bower Fold.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Not sure.  It was mentioned in Mr Quinns latest statement as being at Bower Fold.  I don't recall him saying a day..

Tough one to call this. Widnes have alternated ( to the best of my knowledge) between scrappy and very good. Strong defence with Jordan Abdull pulling the strings and with a good kicking game. Adam Lawton was influential in the televised Cup game and I thought their hooker Johnstone was good. They had some strong forwards but so have we and I think (I hope) ours can get over theirs and we’ll have too much strike power for them. It’ll be easily be the toughest match since London.

Can't wait for this game. Widnes have a very good team and have made a decent start to the season. Abdul's kicking game and their two hookers in Johnstone and Fozard are the key to their team.

For us the squad is now looking very strong and the only area we are short on is wing if Russell has gone.

I'd go Walker, Nisbet, Bibby, Davies, Dixon, Smith, Drinkwater, Makin, Wildie, Farnworth, Ashurst, Moore, Purcell. subs: Geyer, Ted, Waine, Day/Milner

Ormonroyd simply isn't doing enough for me to deserve a place in the squad. I'd keep Ted on the bench just because he has been outstanding there. Purcell over Milner for me, offers more with the ball and can play longer minutes. The backs pick themself at the minute with Walker now fit.

Can’t argue with any of that. If Dean was fit I’d have him over Smith. Agreed re JO. Tackles a lot which is good but his go forward isn’t as good as the others. I wonder if he’s fully fit or maybe just not angry enough. To be fair, despite the upheavals of the last few weeks off the pitch no one can say we haven’t signed (and developed) some cracking players.
