Following his collapse, here is the latest on 

Chad Townsend’s health and his transition into media:

Current Health Status

Medical Emergency: Townsend fainted mid-air on a flight to Las Vegas ahead of the 2026 NRL season opener.

Onboard Treatment: He received emergency treatment from fellow passengers, including the wife of a "Newcastle great," before being taken off the plane by medics upon landing.

Current Status: While he described the ordeal as "waking up on the floor," he has since been active on social media, continuing to share analysis and opinions, suggesting he is recovering.
