With luck, JD may update us on the injury situation later today. Based on what he said on 25th Feb, Reg, Lewis & Hawkins (all calf) would be ready in 3 to 5 weeks, so last week in March or 1st in April.

He had no return date for Mad Max due to his chest injury. Rob Mathias is due back in April. Simbiken had returned to training but doubt an additional 2 weeks would have him ready to return.

We do know both Meadows & O'Beirne failed HIAs so not available this weekend.

Bitungane was in last week's squad but not final 18 so maybe he picked up a niggle or was unwell. Finally Wallis not in the squad last week, reason unknown (by me at least).

Despite being 3 play makers down, we still have Voro & Glare who can play in the halves + Tommy Porter & at a push Alex Walker.

Not a bad side Barrow, but expect & Broncos win.

Ridiculous to think we could have that many out and still expect a win isn't it?

Quite true Lefty. Probably the first time since the period 1996/99 we've had a squad as big or as good as this one. In the past with this sort of injury list it would be the first 5 fans with boots through the door got a game.

Will they be live streaming this game even though it's not at your own ground?

Hi Johnny, i've not heard anything either way. If they do I'll post it here. I suspect somebody will also shove something on the never ending Broncos thread to nowhere.

Thanks for the reply. According to someone who has posted on the Barrow threads there isn't going to be a livestream.

That would have been my guess too.

Really high level of injuries but we have sufficient depth. I’d expect Walker to get a run out in place of Morea and another match for Hartley.

Last 15 minutes Barrow were camped out in our 20 and throughout the game they looked sprightly but we were too strong and won the territory battle pretty comfortably without really being able to come up with a final play that unlocked them. Many of our tries were some form or other of interception with Webster Mansfield (who sentiment aside I would have said was MOM) and Tindall scoring and then there was the Wallis try where he ran 30 metres sideways and then 60 metres to score. Really decent day out and a good result. I see we have Keighley at home for the next round. I think I can guess how that will go but we’ll see. In terms of performance I thought both Lovell and Walker did really well and Croft and Smith were busy. I think Croft took a knock so we may be down another.

On another matter, having sat through quite a few seasons of ‘ sub-optimal’ home performances, I’m delighted we are winning at a canter but I do hope the RL authorities have a plan on what to do with us. I can’t see it being in anyone’s interest to have this iteration of Broncos in the Championship for very long. Sadly Bulls and York haven’t read the script and appear to be doing well in the SL. Perhaps it will be Huddersfield who come a cropper or perhaps SL will go to 15 as it appears the experiment in increasing the size of SL has worked better than many predicted.

If they go to 15, it would probably be without any central funding following what happened to York & Toulouse this year.
