All of a sudden, this has turned into a massive game for us on Saturday. This is a crucial few games and just hope we can secure the two points and hopefully start to get some momentum.

Sadly, this season is over as far as the league is concerned. The RL want London in sooperdooperleeg and as soon as that's done, that's the end of promotion and relegation and in my opinion the end of Rugby League.

I agree that the Rugby League don't seem to have much interest in things outside Superleague but we have had years of no P&R in the past and even now there is no promotion from the National Conference Premier Division but it doesn't stop Waterhead.

We have a team to support, even if we don't know what the future holds, so let's get behind the club and see what happens.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Massive game this. Win this and we've got a lot of winnable games coming in a row. Lose and it's been a very poor start.

Reckon they'll be a lot of changes after a very poor performance at Catalan. Day straight in for Moore at second row. Can see a lot of changes in the backs who have been poor right across the board. Surely Walker starts here and move Dean back into his best position at stand off. Farnworth back in straight for Ormonroyd. Neither winger can complain if they get dropped, both were shocking.

I'd go Walker, Bibby, O'Keefe, Davies, Dixon, Dean, Drinkwater, Purcell, Wildie, Farnworth, Ashurst, Day, Lannon. subs: Geyer, Ted, Liu, McKinney.

Sheffield look much better this season with Gill and Lilley being excellent additions. Think Matty Marsh at full back is there best player and the danger player for this weekend.

Oldham by 4 but with no confidence

Like you Brooksey, I hope we can scrape the win. However, I think we might fall short on Saturday, and that would be a poor start to the season. Moving Dean back to stand off is crucial in my view.

Liu and Day back in the squad, plus McKinney the Wire loanee. Ormondroyd obviously gone but Ewan Moore out. Injured? Still no Waine. Going to be a tough one at Sheffield as they’re playing well.

Moore failed his hia in France

Watched Sheffield when they won at Rochdale a couple of weeks ago and they look a well drilled, well coached Team with a decent sized pack that is quite mobile too.

This is going to be close and think it will be all about which pack comes out on top.

Think we should have the fire power but fingers crossed on this

Very poor first half, our own biggest enemy with 10 or so significant mistakes in the first half alone.

We were fortunate that Sheffield lost their fullback, very different game if they had him, Morgan Smith kicked them to death with some absolutely lovely assists and a try himself, MOM for me, Owen Farnworth as good as ever.

The biggest difference here was what each team did when the opposition were down to 12, dont think we allowed Sheffield the ball for the 10 whilst Sheffield kept giving penalties and losing their heads, giving us the lead. When Ashurst was sin binned we stayed strong and it was 6-6. Cole Geyer is absolute class.

Ref lost the game by the end.
