I totally agree, fitness (which we did not have last year) and the ability to stay in a game will only see us so far. We need 2 or 3 big nasty forwards, we are getting bullied and struggle with quick play of the balls from the opposition.

Finally, any ideas why Swinton are releasing players? Cutting costs or disagreements?

I like the fact that we are only signing quality. Agents will be pushing all sorts of players at the club at the moment. Personally, now that Muzza has left Whitehaven, I would like to see Brad Brennan back.

This guy fits the bill, always played tough against us in the past, got some size too. Hopefully give us the physicality and go forward we’ve been missing in early parts of recent matches. Some good work by the board this week, I was initially a bit surprised we’d signed another hooker; granted a good player. But now Barrett is on board it’s been a good week. I’ll have to disagree with you Joe about Brennan, a good solid honest pro but IMO that would be a backwards step for me athletic quick forwards are the best bet with current speed around the ruck…..but we all have our favourites/opinions, pal.

Now let’s get the 2 pts tomorrow

I too rate Brennan, another one we mysteriously let go, only for him to perform outstandingly in opposition.
