I wonder when Swinton last beat Salford in a competitive derby match.

This league is impossible to predict. There are always suprise scores every week.

However I'll go with wins for

Town

Raiders

Dons

Oldham

Bulldogs

Thunder/Knights

Cougars

Salford

Hurricanes

And none with any certainty. Should be some good games again though.

Barrow 12 Widnes 4. Barrow with a strong wind behind them and Widnes with 3 players off injured, so could end up with a pretty big score in the second half.

Doncaster hold Sheffield to nil for the first time in the history of the two clubs playing each other.. 46-0

Barrow 18 Widnes 8 FT. Not a great game due to the conditions, but a well-deserved win for Barrow.

To say I'm delighted would be a mahoosive understatement.

Though Sheffield snatched a last gasp winner at Dewsbury, they were poor. So this result is not really a surprise.

Another good win for the Thunder, hopefully a few more people will come and watch them now, you can’t get entertainment like they provide for the money anywhere else.

Apart from London, you shouldn't lose a game, might even beat em. Should be a good game at Donny.

Very bizarre ending to the Barrow v Widnes game. Pretty competitive throughout but Barrow edging it 18-8 in tricky conditions (very bad wind).

Widnes players didn't clap their fans for coming which resulted it them getting boo'd as they walked down the tunnel. Very bizarre scenes. Widnes didn't play horrendous and Widnes brought good support and cheered throughout so unsure what caused that.

After 2 seasons of getting thumped it will take time for people to come back, though i know they will come back, a few years ago we had highest average attendance in league 1 and more than a few championship sides at the time too, they will come back i am confident of that, class win again today, come on thunder.

It will be interesting to see if crowds return. I remember going to Newcastle and seeing the good crowds. But this time, if you have a good player he'll be in York team next week. Or like Nofoaluma, you sign a very good player who might never play for you. And every week there will be a rotating group of York fringe players "loaned" to make up the numbers.

Time will tell.

This season its been the same squad most games apart from injurys, york had injurys so took sam cook from us on loan, they have more injurys so took will roberts on loan for tomorrows game v the giants, apart from that the squad signed to play for thunder has played for us every game apart from when players have been injured, i am very happy things are going well and newcastle lightning has been set up to play in the yorkshire league giving local lads a chance to step up to the thunder squad aswel.
