A good report as always by Ian. 

Pleasantly surprised by how well we did as North Wales seem to be a team capable of producing their best or their worst on any given day. After Sully Medforth put us 0-8 up the dam seemed to break and we looked pretty unstoppable! 

A very sad affair for Crusaders fans however, given they had the joy of celebrating winning League One last year. Does feel like there's a lot of bad management decisions being made at the top - including silencing any dissent from fans - and most of their players are probably riding out this season in the hopes of better fortunes elsewhere.

Those attitudes are reflected in some of their performances, as well as the drastic reduction in fans coming to watch. Total RL says there was 300 there but I'd have been surprised if there was 200 (with the healthiest travelling Canes support I've seen in a while).

So many clubs are shy about announcing attendances nowadays. This is very frustrating for fans, especially as we are all encouraged to bring a friend etc but clubs fail to do their part by being brave enough to be honest.

Do Hurricanes publish their attendances btw? My club, Dewsbury, stopped doing so a couple of years ago leaving us all in the dark.

Hi Johnny - we do publish our attendances. You can usually find them in the Total RL reports or in our own match reports. We might not have the biggest crowds but we're building something nicely at Avery Fields one game at a time...

That's good. I don't subscribe to TRL (long story) so may need to look at your site. I'm not picking holes by any means, it is just interesting to get a measure of where this division is. I am a (very) longstanding supporter of a lesser club and am often amazed by some people who seem to believe that we were all watching in front of big crowds a couple of decades ago. We weren't!
