That result at Crusaders was a bit of an eye opener, they are obviously in some form. Hopefully we have a bit more confidence in ourselves after Good Friday and kick on in this game. I know we are capable of winning this but will need to be on top of our game. Should be a cracker. UTT

We will need to be at our very best on Sunday, the pack has to get on top quickly or there forwards will set a platform for the excellent half backs in the hurricanes team, they like to throw the ball around but do make some mistakes doing so.

He needs to start with bigger props , he says we're giving teams a lead early on but that's mainly because we're not dominating which forces us into errors.  

They've recruited well and we haven't looked like beating the teams above us but with Jammer finding form , Grant on top of his and Evan back you never know.

Id like to think we can win it. I suppose it depends if we can do the basics that have eluded us most games.

For me Jamie has to play longer as he's our most influential player, and I think he's best as a half back and should play there. Obviously we can't ask Callum to keep playing full games, so it probably won't happen but I think you have to play your best players in their best positions,  not at hooker just because he can do it.

The score against Crusaders isn't much of a guage as the North Wales Club are in turmoil and players not paid for a month and a backer has pulled out. 

Although the Hurricanes can be a good side on the day, ex Halifax Captain and local west Cumbria lad Brandon Moore being one of the star players at Hooker.

How could either team do anything special on that pitch last month? If Sully had his kicking boots on we'd have won and it definitely felt like a point lost for us by full-time. 

Will be a tough game (as always in Cumbria) especially with Else missing who creates a lot of problems for teams. Sully is on great form at the moment however so confident he and whoever he mixes with can put in a professional performance.

I'm pleased to hear that, he was on a par with Galea for player of League 1 last year.

Well this is a game I think we could pick up another win today but our half's have gotta dominant the game 

The only changes I would make from last week will be 

Tuaere in for mason and bear in for Stevie who are both injured il go with

We've been doing alright, slight uptick on the Alex I'd say. Main issue is the massive glut of away games we're going through - today will be our fifth on the bounce and we have another four to go.

Last home game was Oldham on 1 March and the next one is Whitehaven on 7 June! Hard to keep the marketing momentum going with such a gap...

Yeah Else is...well something else. Has to be up there with one of the best players I've seen play for us and his 8 tries in 11 games so far are a testament to that. Sully is having a great season too (Danny Craven is mentoring him whilst injured) and his kicking game seems to improve each week - I just hope he's had enough time to get with his new partner in the halves.

Tough challenge today....Midlands have beat us regularly in recent times. 

Wouldnt change much from last week apart from replacing the injured lads. 

Start well for a change. Keep it simple and we could turn them over. 

Conditions like last 2 weeks will play their part.

Why did the rl have you play a glut of away games back to back? Madness but always look for the results and great to see a fairly new team with a good support.

Haven were the opposite and were shafted with something like 6 out of the first 8 at home, when crowds are notoriously lower due to bad weather/football on tv etc. 

Only the RFL could get something so simple so wrong. Got to be home then away for most of the season.

Bit of a strange team today. If Carter is missing why wouldn't you just leave donaghy on the wing where he's been playing, leigh kept in the centres, where he's been playing and put jammer in at 6?

Seems as though as soon as one is missing, we move 3 or 4 players about with square pegs in round holes
