Havenfan10 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Whats going on something doesn't feel right four players leaving in as many weeks and our coach gone. who's next Brett Bailey/Burns both haven't played for weeks? Very little info coming out from the club. Any sign of a new coach? Gone abit quiet after the 15 applications we had.

You would assume for any of the travelling lads that Swinton will be their next stop
Hate the rec Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Things not right it seems, to many players jumping ship , is it down to money or something else

Haven65 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Brett Bailey suffered a hairline fracture to his foot early in the season. Budsy had an operation on his knee after getting an infection caused by the all weather surface at Sheffield. Haven’t heard any updates on either for a few weeks although Budsy has been in the bar for the last few home games. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brennan left as he has played under Muzza at a number of clubs and I think he is the only traveller now apart from the on loan lad from Leigh and the injured Bailey. The interview with Newts on FB last night said the club were talking to a couple of players as potential new signings but no mention of what position they play. 1
donald Posted April 11 Posted April 11 If they're after local players with experience I would go for karl Dixon and jake moore
Oweyeh Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Genuine question. When the club is in need of players, do fans think the scoreboard was a priority? 1

Hate the rec Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I thought the blueprint was local local local and built for the next couple of years? Is that out the window now, surely you need to invest in youth, although you have lost a few lately, I would be a bit concerned on how things are being managed to tell you the truth. 1

Havenwarrior2021 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Just got back from Goole after a long day. The game was delayed till 4.20 after a suspected Grenade on the pitch (first time in rugby league I believe), we were then told it may be abandoned due to the risk of the ground being unsafe. Thankfully the bomb squad declared it safe and we got down to the RL. First half it was even for the first 20 untill we took Brennan and Kellett off (a familiar feeling this season) we then were 16:6 down at half time. In the first 20 of the second it was again closely contested at 6:6 meaning Goole were 22:12 up sadly we lost Jack Newbegin to a leg injury meaning we had to reshuffle meaning Kellett went to half back. Thankfully this seemed to help the team Jack created all 4 trys in the last 12 minutes getting us an outstanding victory against the odds against a fancy Goole side on our first visit to the Vikings. A delighted Haven fan tonight. 3
wayner Posted April 13 Posted April 13 A great win for you - sadly we at Swinton are still waiting for our first win
