FearTheVee Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Odd. Hope he's OK and I hope Catalans replace him with a top coach. 1

Before we can answer that, we need to know what the move was meant to achieve. Seemingly, no one knows,
StandOffHalf Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Good news for Catalans - as long as they can find a replacement.
StandOffHalf Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Hope his personal circumstances aren't too bad, of course. 2

slowdive Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Obviously hoping he is personally ok, but hopefully this means the Dragons will play a few more French players again. 1 "At times to be silent is to lie. Futtocks Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I saw a rumour a few weeks ago about Trent Robinson returning to France. Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted. Ralph Waldo Emerson

That rumour also mentioned that he would be departing Sydney Roosters at the end of the season. Not sure how much truth there is to it but Trent Robinson coaching the Dragons would be a huge coup

EastLondonMike Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I think of all the coaches in SL - his job always felt the most insecure, even though he has left the club for matters unrelated to performance. Without significant improvement on the pitch I kind of felt it was always only a matter of time before his name would be spoken about as a potential victim of the chairmans axe! Hope his personal situation isn't too bad. But feel this does give the Dragons a chance to try and find a better fit for their needs. I hope they really take the time needed and get the right person for the job. No doubt they will look to the NRL - but not sure who could fit the bill. Noticed Trent Barrett sitting next to Michael McGuire in the Broncos coaching box recently. Maybe someone like him might be an option. Newham Dockers - Champions 2013. Exiled Wiganer Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I hope he’s ok. The associated criticism seems a bit callous. 2
