Embrace will be playing ahead of the Bulls vs Leigh on 14th June.

I saw this announced today, I think this is fantastic - I love Embrace and they have some genuinely well known songs. Also doing a full 1hr show as well. This feels a great coup for the club and a sign of the ambition. Have no doubt it will add a few on the gate!

Loved Embrace when they were in their pomp, brilliant band. Saw them a few times in the naughties.

I like the idea of a full gig, rather than bashing out a couple of hurried hits before kick-off. The idea of making matchday an event that culminates in the game is something I think Peter Deakin would have approved of.

I enjoy seeing that the venn diagram of Embrace fans and members of this forum is an *almost* perfect circle. Sorry for ruining it.

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

If it's their first game of League, Odsal is such a great venue - they won't get as tired as they would playing on a full-sized pitch......

I have tickets for them in Nottingham later this year, they seem to have a decent hardcore fan base as well so I do think this along with general awareness among 40 something males could add a decent few to the crowd. I hope they give them a good stage/sound set up!

I think I have heard 2 of their songs that are OK, other than them it is way before my generation personally.

Embrace are genuinely a well known big band for anyone over 40.

If they want the youngsters of Bradford interested get in Bad Boy Chiller Crew 😎 They could even ride their bikes round the track in the stadium 👊

I know some of the Embrace guys, really lovely chaps!

I hope Bradford sort the sound system out for them - it was painful watching the pre match 'band' at the Bulls - Rhinos games, she clearly couldn't hear herself or the music as she was out of time and the sounds was ######.

I don’t remember Embrace, i can’t remember any of their songs. Someone told me at work ‘them & Coldplay are very similar’. I replied back ‘that is why i haven’t bothered listening to them then’.
But i hope the weather is nice for them and they draw in some extra fans, even if they go home after the bands 3 songs.

They were similar to early Coldplay in that they play anthem type music, big choruses etc. But where Coldplay just became weepy, tedious sermon music Embrace stayed much more uplifting and more 80s than britpop.

Hmmm, they're from Yorkshire, not Manchester.

The original lads were from Bailiff Bridge, Brighouse ... about 4 miles from Odsal. At least one of them worked at specialist welding firm in Halifax that was owned by a bloke I know. (Next door to Percy Shaw's original Cats Eye factory; still going).

A whole weekend since the announcement and not one post claiming this decision is a farce, a joke, a disgrace etc. etc.?

Astounding.

I love Bradford are ‘Coming Back to What You Know’ with live music. Let’s hope there’s ’Fireworks’ on the pitch for ‘All You Good Good People’ in the stands.

terrible band who represent everything that was wrong with music in that era - couldn't stand them then so can't see how they would appeal to me now - for any one with even half  a musical brain - Mad  Jack and the Hatters are back in business and hail from Hebden Bridge - supporting the Zipheads in Leeds soon - see below
