If he doesn't play Saturday, it's hard to see what square peg JD puts in a round centre hole. Maybe a 2nd row, but what would be the point in that?

Tricky isn’t it. Players like Davidson need game time to learn but if you had to guess the 4 from that squad that will miss out, you’d guess he’d be one.

It's really only 3 with I would imagine Stock as 18th man. I expect Ramsden & Hartley to be 2 + either Sid or HH  being the 3rd. But given my success with the lottery, those lot will all play.

It would be nice to see them both...  And for Sid to not come back knackered.

Yay Teddy starts. Also good to see Marcus getting recognised and picked- don't think he was on JD's radar at the start of the season.

They had a real good go first 25, thereafter broadly one way traffic. Smith had a good game and the big 3 imports did well. Stock had a fantastic 20 minute cameo. No real excuse for him not to be a regular in the 17. Morea and Tindall did well and got on the scoresheet again. Midlands up next: I think we’ll fill our boots.

Davi’s looks like he picked up an injury and Bitucharne went off with a head knock so they, together with Havilli who is on a 2 week suspension will probably be missing.

Bit of a Curate's egg of a performance, nobody played badly with Smith my MoM. Stock & O'Bierne were good too. Just still not convinced by Hawkins whose kicking from hand was pretty poor again I thought. Credit Goole for giving them something to think about though. 

Also thought the Vikings TV coverage was pretty decent. And of course Lefty's boy played ok in only his 2nd game.
