Mark Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Well what a turnaround in the last couple of weeks, the players seem a lot more enthused and energy is up on the pitch and in the stands. Some of the players that I didnt rate seem to have stepped up and be pushing themselves forward, lets hope it continues and it isn't just a new coach bounce. Gibson and Eaves seem to have had a massive influence as well "When you participate in sporting events, it's not whether you win or lose; it's how drunk you get." -Homer Simpson "I couldn't be more chuffed if I were a badger at the start of the mating season" Ian Holloway
Sailaway Posted May 6 Posted May 6 It is good that there is some positivity for Swinton's loyal supporters and it will be even better if improvement continues under the coaching of Anthony Murray with his experience of rugby at this level.
Mark R Posted May 8 Posted May 8 I wasn't a fan of Wood. He used to sit in the stand and all he did was criticise and swear. Our play was always negative even in the perceived good first season. The difference under Murray has been huge. I actually am looking forward to a match again. Its been so dull for too long.

For the first part of the season I think I was criticising and swearing at them most of the time, roll on Whitehaven although they seem to have brought in 5 loans for the game 1 "When you participate in sporting events, it's not whether you win or lose; it's how drunk you get." -Homer Simpson "I couldn't be more chuffed if I were a badger at the start of the mating season" Ian Holloway
wayner Posted May 8 Posted May 8 I think the addition of Gibson and Eaves has brought the experience into the squad that was lacking at the start of the season. I found Wood approachable also spoke to Murry at half time last week and he was really friendly and happy to share his opinion. Hopefully the team can win again on Sunday as there are potentially several matches coming up that we are capable of winning. But as Mark R said I am enthusiastic now and looking forward to the next match, although Whitehaven will have something to prove 1
