I've tried and failed to find out if we can just turn up and pay on the day.

The stadium website says no but I refuse to believe they'd be that stupid.

Anyone?

I was informed by Warrington that you have to buy them in person as it's too late to get them posted. I haven't got the time or inclination to do a 130 mile round trip.

It can't be beyond the wit of the RFL or the stadium management people to allow people to decide on the day.

That is unforgivable, BBC!!

They've just mentioned this game on tv and said its Warrington v Hull!!

Blasphemy!! Heretics!! Don't you dare confuse us with that lot over there!! That's right, I'm pointing towards the river!!

Rubbish BBC coverage of RL!!

Yes that's very annoying. When we were in the entertainment park bit at Wembley last year some cheapo DJ bloke kept calling Rovers 'Hull'. Luckily for his future disc spinning a polite Rovers fan had a word.....

I guess I thought it was more common knowledge that in RL, when you say Hull, you are referring to Hull FC (my team) and when you are referring to the other lot you tend to say Hull KR or Rovers. Apologies, appears I was wrong.

Are you suggesting I'm a KR fan?

It is one of the stranger things in RL

Hull KR fans don't usually want to be referred to as just "Hull"

Hull FC fans don't want KR to be referred to as just "Hull"

You're both from Hull, you can both be referred to as just "Hull"

I don't think its particularly strange. There's two teams from the same city and a way of distinguishing between the two so why wouldn't you? If the woman on tv had been talking about the FA Cup final she wouldn't say Chelsea v Manchester, would she because that doesn't say which Manchester club.

Hull FC are referred to as Hull because they are the Hull Football Club. Any other football club that is just the place name and FC are usually just referred to by the place name. Hull Kingston Rovers on the otherhand have an effective way to distinguish themselves from their city rivals so tend to be referred to as KR or Rovers, just like Man U and Man City use the second parts of their names to distinguish themselves.

Nothing strange about it at all.

Calling Hull KR "Hull" is like calling Man U or Man City "Manchester", it's just wrong!

Most people these days will refer to Man U or Man City by the end, either "United" or "City" - you wouldn't call either of them just "Manchester" I don't think.

I understand why Hull are generally referred to as just Hull and KR, KR - but the reaction to KR being called "Hull" when the other team they are playing isn't from Hull is a bit funny to me.

Just another one of those quirks of our game, like Leigh not having a train station or Odsal or something else a bit unique. 😉

So the team from Hull with Hull in its name doesn’t want to be associated with Hull - got it !!

Well the Rovers fans like to sing "We all hate Hull" if that helps.

I don’t even like referring to us as Hull KR.. 😂

Hull Kingston Rovers or Rovers, none of this KR branding and the angry birds badge.

Growing up in Hull, it has always been Hull, City & Rovers.
