Deadcowboys1 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 This weekend's squad should still be good enough to take the wind out of the Hurricanes.
BigTime Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Surprisingly attritional the Championship for us this year. Especially when you consider that quite a few of these games have been won in 3rd gear. Tough old sport.
the-bearded-lefty Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Give Sid a week off FFS! Hope to see Hartley, Porter, Ramsden instead. 1

BigTime Posted May 10 Posted May 10 I thought that was a really good performance today. Midlands threw quite a lot at us which we handled well and until the last knockings of the game, the tries we scored were because we cut them open rather than soft tries. Morea and Voro played well. At times they avoid the pass in the hopes of scoring and it doesn’t pay off, but today it did. Thought Davidson did well and Davis looked sharp. All good. Not too bad a crowd pretty good atmosphere with the fan zone pretty busy and the players engaging with the kids. 1
Deadcowboys1 Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Agree BT, Voro at last showing some form & like Morea seems able to wriggle through tackles like they they don't exist. But as you say, when it doesn't it ruins good positions to attack. Still think Hawkins' kicking from hand is substandard & would prefer Jimmy to take the goal kicks if he's on the pitch.
BigTime Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Yes. Churlish to criticise the team but I thought Hawkins was a little sub par in his kicking game. He is still doing well generally but not quite where he was at start of the year.
