Strong squad that.

Yes, but I would suggest there are quite a few names in that squad who are "making up the numbers" - I'd be amazed if Toa, Matty Foster and Kieron Hudson are match-fit.

Be interesting to see team selection. 2 will miss out maybe Hudson as he's not played yet. Can't see us naming 4 halves unless there's a rogue call for Ata at 13? We seem a back row short since Griffin and field are out.

Nof, Bennison, wood, toa, Galeano, Ata, Hunter,

Vaughan, macca, va'a, dee, foster, Vuniyayawa.

Balmforth, sangare(prove it now hudsons breathing down your neck for a place), martin, Buchanan (centre 2nd row cover)?, Roberts 18th.

I’d personally go

Toa

nof

bennison/buchanan

wood

Galeano

Hunter

Roberts

Martin

McShane

Vaughan

dee

foster

Hingano

king

vaa

Hudson

balmforth

Want Roberts to get another chance looked good v Huddersfield and is looking a level above everyone else when he’s playing in the championship

gone with ata at 13 and king on the bench instead of king at 13 and Sangare on the bench purely because I want to see how ata would go at loose in SL

However the biggest headache for mash is the back 5 Toa is back fit and was our best player this year pre his injury however nof has been exceptional at full back.Bennison was one of the better plays against saints but I think id go with nof and Galeano on the wings purely for the yardage they make from kick returns

If Toa is fit he starts at full back. Then, Bennison, Noa, Wood, Galleano, Ata and Hunter make up the backs. Roberts will get his chance later.

Don’t see why we’d call up Roberts for him not to play when he could play for Newcastle in the 1895 cup quarters

Would have Noa instead of Bennison on the wing with Galleano on the other wing with wood and Buchanan in the centres, again Ata and Hunter as the half backs and can see Hudson been involved in the 17.

The same logic applies to King Vuniyayawa.

Mash says Kieran is back in full training, has been for a while and is looking good so, as a straight choice between him and Sangare?

Fingers crossed for Kieran, I had him down as one of my players to make huge strides in a full time environment. Learning off someone like Paul Vaughan and training/ recovering as your full time job, I hope Kieran is over his injuries and can absolutely smash it now. Him and Mitch Clark won us that semi against Halifax last year by grinding out big, safe carries and nullifying the counter arm wrestle.

Iam sat in the section near the football away end.

Toa starts and Ata is on the bench, Hunter and Robert’s the two starting halves with Nofoaluma back on the wing, interesting.

One man down and 2/3 sets down their end and we still drive down the middle rather than passing out wide.

that ball should of been passed about but was drive drive drive down the middle.
