New podcast/videos worth checking out

[Richard de la Riviere]

Just a quick plug for Jason Emery who’s started doing a video/pod on the women’s game.

Here are his two so far, one previewing the semi finals and one reviewing.

You can subscribe so his videos will appear in your YT feed

I joined Jason for this week’s video. Plenty to talk about at the moment!

When do you think the "big" podcasts will discover the women's game?

This is a big podcast

Here’s our latest video which features Wigan thrashing Leeds. saints winning a tight game at York, the London Broncos women and a quick chat about type-1 diabetes, a condition which doesn’t seem to be holding back a couple of WSL players.

Here’s this week’s video!

Some of the issues we pondered are:

Is that the best round of WSL we’ve ever had?

Is York v Wigan the best WSL game of all time?

Can Leeds get their season back on track on Friday?

Just how big a game is this weekend’s Championship Grand final between Manchester Swinton Lionesses & London Broncos Women?

And probably the most important question: who should be the starting England halfbacks out of Georgia Roche, Jenna Foubister, Izzy Rowe, Tara-Jane Stanley and anyone else you might consider?

Izzy Rowe and Roche, maybe Foubister in the squad

Izzy is kicker

Tara won’t even be in the reckoning

[RigbyLuger]

Will England fudge it, play Rowe and Foubister with Roche at hooker or 13? The usual round pegs in square holes.

[Richard de la Riviere]

Can TJS still play in the final? An NRL precedent suggests all may not be lost…

Has Lois taken Leeds as far as she can?

Stunning performances from London & Workington!

And more..

Nice to hear the lower leagues talked about a little. It is correct that Workington drew with Wakefield at home, this was after the Wakey chairman had paid out over 1k for the players to stay up there the night before the game. It is a shame for them to stay in League 1 as their set up is very good and I think it would be fair to say they would do better than maybe Widnes and Hull in the Championship who have both dropped off a bit this season after losing players.

Here’s our reaction to a brilliant grand final and to the announcement of the England World Cup squad.

Rowe seems to suggest she won't start here.
