What a win for Barrow.

Dons 12 - 36 Barrow

I certainly didn't expect that result, great win for Barra.

I thought Barrow might nick it by a try but that was a bit of a drubbing..

Barrow were class yesterday. I've always been a fan of Crarey and yesterday just cemented that. Tactics and set up were bang on. He used the fact we'd played on Sunday to a tee, shifting the ball around right from the off. Dons fatigued and lost all their shape

I know a few people are calling out the 4 day turnaround as a factor in Doncaster losing.

Barrow are now in a similar position as we've got 4 day turnaround now, playing Hunslet on Sunday. Mentally, it's probably easier to pick yourself up to go again in four days after a win than it is a defeat. But, we'll see. Every game is different.

Also impressive that some players just gotten out of work at 4am in the morning or took half a shift off then onto a bus which took over 5 hours to get there.

the man said this on another thread a couple of weeks ago

"It was Doncaster who suggested the dates and Barrow went along with Doncaster's request to play at home first due to pitch maintenance and football fixtures later in the year.  It was all very amicable and the two clubs get on very well."

No good complaining about the dates after losing.   Other dates were available.

Yes I in no way think it was the deciding factor. It was easier for the Dons players to tire when they were getting beat anyway

Who has complained afterwards?
