A fair outcome overall but for all the fantastic defending we did I feel 30-10 flatters Oldham. Would have accepted 24-10 and conceding to what looked like a forward pass in the end was a bitter way to finish. 

Else and Warren as a pair were man marked all game and couldn't make the impact they did last week, and it was clear we were missing McGowan's magic. Nice to have Johnno back and Jebbo having an opportunity to make his mark, but Oldham battered both him and Tyrer as they clearly decided that was the weaker part of our back line. 

...and that draws a line under 9 consecutive away games. 5 wins, a draw and 3 losses. Bar the draw to Whitehaven (impacted by the pitch) and the loss to Swinton (impacted by a new coach and signings for the Lions) I'm very happy with the outcome. Now we have 9 home games from 12 and a real chance to make Avery Fields a fortress as we look to cement a playoff place.
