Your Rubbish Memorabilia

As RL fans, I'm sure we all have a massive horde of club memorabilia from over the years. 

This evening, I've been sorting through a lot of my collection and found a manky old 'Hull Sharks' scarf. Why the hell have I held on to that??

It got me wondering what other embarrassing and rubbish memorabilia we all have hidden away from the world?

I've got an original 'Fartown Giants' scarf from 1996, a rarity as there were only a few with made with 'Fartown' on.

I've got a coaster from 2017 with "The Last Stand" on it and a picture of the old South Stand at Headingley (which would be demolished that year).

The club focused so much on that that they seemed to have spent all the marketing and product budget that should have gone on stuff relating to us actually winning the Grand Final that year

I still have an Oxford RL player shirt, and both fan and player polo shirts. Some shirts etc.  have already gone to Oxford Museum stores. My Prescot Panthers player shirt and fan t-shirt went to Prescot Museum. No idea where they went after that closed.

I did offer some of the remaining Oxford RL stuff to the RL Heritage / Museum people, they declined it. 

The polo shirts get worn at Wembley, I have the ORL Supporters Club one on today. They'll fall to bits eventually, but will probably survive long enough to see me through until the Challenge Cup leaves Wembley.

Hopefully I'll live long enough to see a RL museum / heritage body want the remaining Oxford player shirt. If not, that will be in the bin when I die realistically.

Valleys Diehard long sleeve cotton players shirt from 1970s. Way too thick to wear at any game in Queensland. How they managed to play in those things is anyones guess.

That sounds half decent.  I've got a commemorative Warrington silk (acually nylon) scarf from the 1974 Challenge Cup Final which I must have liked at the time.  Then again I was only 10.

I won a signed boot from a GB tour in the early 2000s. No idea what tour or who has signed it!!

When we moved house last year I found a load of them in the loft, they went to the tip!!

Ive also got some Broncos plastic pint glasses they did one year, my step son took great delight in collecting them at the end of games

Nah, that was a bad shirt, I have one myself. It never got used for the WC but did we not play a game in it? Combined Nations maybe?

Sheffield Eagles toothbrush case, which I still use when I go on holiday, Sheffield Eagles soap box, which I use to keep paperclips in, Sheffield Eagles pen pot, sitting on my desk in front of me now.   

All circa 1989 - the pen pot celebrates the 1988/89 promotion and Premiership winning team.

Got a Gloucester All Golds training top given by Tim Bergin (ex Sheffield)

Went to see them play the Skolars at the New River Stadium, probably the wettest field I’ve even seen a game played on.
