Just watched the interview with Jonty after training.  He's as honest as ever and isn't trying to sugar coat anything.  Lets hope for a much better performance this week, its up the the players to front up and show some pride in the jersey. Watching last week's tries again was an awful watch and that is solely down to the players as there is no way they are coached to defend like that. Barrow were very good so they didn't need the gifts we gave them.

I'm going for a much improved performance and as long as the lads leave it all out there then we will be all behind them and clap them off the pitch. I really want to back a win but I feel our confidence is just too shot at. 18-28 UTT.

We just need to stick with the lads and show them we are all in this together, heard a few negative comments last week which is understandable no one likes getting beat, but let's back the lads and Jonty, we have a bright future and will get through this bad patch.

Hopefully we will, as in my 60 plus years of supporting town, there have been many ups and downs.

Let's keep supporting the lads and continue the faith, as without you all going through the gates we are not going to improve.

I can't get down more than for one game a year but pay my 1945 club subs to do my little bit to allow me to comment on this forum.

I will be happy if they compete and keep the score competitive.

Looks like Oldham are missing a few backs with injury, hopefully town can compete. Oldham have built a really good side over the years and deserve to be in the position they are in, I think if we can get within 24 points of them or at least be in the game at half time then we've done well

Looking forward to visiting again if today. You always make our fans so welcome. 
Wonlys comment on the squad made me revisit it this morning and actually it is a problem of who to leave  out in the backs. There are four quality centres there in Ben Davies, Jake Bibby, Iain Thornley and Ben O’Keefe.

We deserved to get something out of that game, apart from our respect back.

Couldn't ask for much more than that (Apart from the win obviously) 

A performance that everyone of them should be proud of but also a realisation knowing that's what they are capable of, consistency is key and today's efforts need matched in the next couple of games.

1-17 were outstanding, the halves controlled and took us round the pitch with a great kicking game to match, the backs who get the most criticism were outstanding, they cut us open the first 20 minutes but once we settled we matched them all over the pitch. I thought chapplehow was outstanding for them and was probably the difference in the teams, and thankfully there full back kept us in at times as he was awful. Rawhiti done really well at 9 when he come on to spell Callum. Jack and Mason really stepped up at 2nd row and we must try to keep blacker as long as we can, thought he was outstanding especially his kicking game

Wasn't looking forward today and was fearing the worst after 20 minutes but what an effort after that, gutted we didn't win but so proud of the performance, play like that for the rest of the season then we'll be ok, well done

Outstanding second half, Jamie Doran and Logan Blacker really led the team around the field and dominated the play with excellent kicking and organisation. No argument with Lewthwaite getting MOM probably his best game for us.

Well,what about that performance.I wasns't sure about the score would be but anything under 50 i would take especially it being Oldham.The first half we never showed up but, wow, i do not know what said to the lads but we made Oldham look a poor side,they have gotten some classy players on board but only chapelhow stood out for me.I never thought in a million years we could come back from 22 nil and lead the game 24 to 22 to Town,but some poor refereing let Oldham back in the game to win,great effort by one to 17 disappointed big reid never got on the field,and dickinson dropped to 18 man because Jonty had seen him running.Well played Town,and well played young walmsely....

Proud of our lads today, with 2 min left I honestly thought we were gonna win it. Their last try was disappointing, just a shift to the left that we should have defended but didn’t. Hopefully we can give it a go at Salford next week and we can win a few of our up coming home games. Disappointing how many staunch Townies are giving up on the club, Town are for life , without us going through the gates we cease to exist. UTT.

Well we certainly regained some pride in that game. Looked ominous early on but to a man they stood up and for a large part of that game were the better team. It looked as though confidence started to come back and defended really well and played some cracking rugby. Well done to all 17 and a shout out to Jammer who turned the clock back and had a great game with some inventive play. Must be gutting for them that we couldn’t just hold on but they can hold their heads high.

Great effort today, thought the worst for yous when i checked the score after 20 mins, but fair play to turn things round and nearly win it, shame they scrapped the bonus points as you deserved something out of that today

Huge effort from such a deficit against probably the second best team in the league . All you want to see is that  similar level of commitment and standard game in game out and you’ll get some rewards

.......and they were gifted a 6 nil start. Couldn't believe they didn't pull them back for a blatant forward pass. 

Did Oldham have some cracking players with pace and size, yes, did they have a lot of recent superleague players, yes, did they win on the score board, yes. Were they they the better TEAM , no we were. Proud to be Town fan as judging by the noise, many others were too, Great to hear DP so lively! So glad I went.

Brilliant  2nd half performance.  1st half I didnt think we got much off the ref  , But he seemed to give Oldham every decision.  But having said that some of the trys Oldham got Our defence was poor .  2nd half  the ref was more fair  .and Town played really well and with the crowd behind them .they had Oldham hanging on . But we got in front with some great rugby . Then with a few minutes  to go Mason tackles  there lad  and he started complaining to the ref and touch judge . And to the supporters  amazement  he put Mason on report and gives them another set of 6   and thats when they  get the winning try . Town very unlucky not to get something from that game .Hard luck Lads . Let's go to Salford with a bit of confidence  now and come away with a win . UTT

Well done lads 1 -17 great effort. I am there through bad n good times. Just gave them that 20 points start. Did think 1 of there tries was forward. Seem to be better organised n better kicking game today. If we can keep that consistency, the part time fans would be here every game, was good value for money today. Well done all

Never seen anything like that, what a ****house thing to do. If you think a player has done you wrong try to get your own back on him. Unreal. The penalty when rio couldn't get up also. The ref was rubbish.
