We should have beaten them at Bower Fold imo. We just made far too many mistakes. They’re strong and on a good run but so are we. Whoever is on their best game and makes fewer mistakes is good enough to win. I don’t think the short turn around will hurt us; having a week off has proved to be worse. Hopefully Owen F back in the fray. Should be a belter.

Suspect we may also see Purcell and Thornley.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Probably biggest game of the season so far as the London away game and reverse fixture against Widnes came so early in the season. They are on a great run of form based around defence not conceding in their last 3 games. Fozard is their main danger man for at hooker.

Farnworth straight into the team for me with probably Moore dropping out unless there were any injuries from Sunday's game. Davies is a great sub as cover for the backs but he looked very handy as well at Loose Forward. Sounds like Purcell and Thornley won't be risked so can't see too many other changes.

Think this will be a very tight game but I think we just have the edge in the pack. Oldham by 4.

2,477 attendance. From listening to the commentary the Roughyeds gave a very strong performance. A few ‘interesting’ decisions by the ref for and against both sides. Oldham good across the park. Great attitude; great performance. 10-28 final score. Quite possibly the format of the Championship affects these games. Oldham having had closer, more intense recent games compared to Widnes’ recent run. And they have to face Doncaster on Wednesday. Great result for us. This squad is class.
