I actually made it! Everyone friendly and helpful, sparse fanzone. No Debeau kit. Lots of food choices but not at pensioner prices. The promised wheelchair storage didn't materialise but stewards used their initiative. HUGE concourse inside stadium.  All very promising.

It has a capacity lower than the attendance of 24 of the past 25 Grand Finals (excl 2020) so that would be a choice that would be, rightly, ridiculed if it came to pass.

And?  It never sells out anyway, at least the in goal isn't a death trap and the roof doesn't leak.

"It never sells out" at one stadium isn't much of an argument to move it to one that is materially, obviously too small.

I'll be honest. Its an awful ground and setup.

Millenium stadium and Etihad work best for magic. Allow fan movement within the ground and a fan park too. St James' Park also works.

Everton should be for big day out games for the likes of Saints or Warrington.

I've spent most of the day walking. Its not a customer-friendly ground in the slightest. 

If you want a beer, you have to go to a chicken stand.  Its meant to be next gen.

Those steep stands offer lovely views, but dont work for heading up and down over three games.

I think that's spot on. 2hrs in here would be great.

Doesn’t look busy in photos I’ve seen but I’m not watching today’s games live. 
 

Measuring up against Newcastle it’s a tough act to follow. Perhaps we have been spoilt at Newcastle with the huge range of things to do on its doorstep including bars, restaurant etc. 

Will be back there next year I suspect.

Rugby League has missed a trick here. Holding Magic on the same weekend as the football World Cup, Wimbledon, England RU international, England men's and women's cricket and the British Grand Prix was poor planning.

RL fans would still attend and watch regardless, but in terms of the national visibility and attention in such a crowded sporting market, this weekend was about the worst they could have chosen.

Early June before the World Cup, would have worked. Could have moved Challenge Cup Final forward a week or so, and give SL clubs a bye in the earlier CC rounds instead of facing amateurs.

Theres a self service bar in our section that you tap into with payment card and cameras record what you pick up and walk out with using AI, got a beer in under a minute

Out of interest, what was the price? At the cricket they have these, no staffing costs and yet still £8.50 a pint, they have been rightfully boycotted by many fans, utter greed

It was £5 minimum charge to get in, but items are deducted against this, it was £13.90 for 2 pints of San Miguel. There were still a fair few staff operating it, they were just constantly pouring pints and they had a stock of 10-20 pints of each beer on the side for people. I didn’t mind it as it saved a pretty large queue

Food is nice here bit pricy but what a stadium I play LDRL was amazing to play on pitch at half time thanks to everyone for cheering us on. if  anyone on here knows the guy who was unwell outside the ground near coaches is ok and send him my best wishes if anyone knows him thanks
