If you had any appreciation of the context, you would know the answer is "of course it isn't".

The club have been shafted by their former owners and have had to replace the entire team effectively overnight. My understanding is that they're restricted by the RFL in terms of how much they can pay, and with the obviously limited number of players available midway through the season they've had to resort to signing amateur players or players who were semi-pro but had dropped out of the game (such as former Canes Matty Welham, Brad Clavering and Brad Billsborough). The results reflect that reality.

Crusaders were the 2025 League One winners and comfortably so, and until Eggchasers pulled the plug were doing fine enough in the new merged Championship. This year will be rough for them, but I'm sure with Jamie and his team at the helm the Crusaders will be a very different force in 2027.
