Since we may find out more about SL 2027 in the next week or so. Hopefully we've made some enquires even if it involves a fee for these two.

Towse contract ends of 2027, Pratt end of 2028

As much as signings like Cam McInnes are going to change the culture of footy at the club. I reckon 0.5% of the York population know who he is and they're already season ticket holders.

Two local lads are much more likely to be a draw as long as it's marketed and advertised. Try scoring whippets we're here to stay and building around these two lads. If we're going to pay overs for players to compete I'd rather it was two local lads than getting Daniel Tupou for 1 year.

Agree. Local players are a must if teams are to encourage local folk to attend matches. These two are prime examples

Sadly I think the days are gone when you saw a GB player carrying the shopping of an old lady to her house or bobbing to the shops in his/her slippers!

I’d have Pratt even though he is injured quite a bit.

Not sure about Towse. Is he any better than what we have?

Hopefully, we will start to get players coming through at Newcastle that are local and getting game time.

It’ll be an interesting few weeks with various announcements. Hopefully some clarification from the Super League about what’s going to happen next season!

Agree with this.Id go around snapping up all the ones in academy and reserve systems aswell and give them a proper pathway by playing regularly for Newcastle The likes of Sam Grice Tom Hardy Alfie Lindsey are all highly rated at current clubs but realistically they are never gonna get a shot at either of them clubs.A year playing regular championship for a top side with the potential of game time for your hometown club in super league it’s quite a big pull.
