Former Catalans half has passed away aged-39 after battling a long illness. 

A sad loss. Scott was a pleasure to watch in his Catalans days, an excellent import to our game over here.

This is terribly sad news. Scott wasn’t just a fine player but a lovely man, one of the best.

I presented him with the Albert Goldthorpe Medal in 2012 and he gave a gracious speech of thanks. He was a pleasure to meet.

The old truth that life can be horribly unfair could hardly be better illustrated than by this news.

I still recall that sensational last minute try that Les Dracs scored away, against the Saints.  Dureau had to convert from the sideline to win the game...and did!

Like Micky Mac, he also talked to the local press and fans in French.
